I'm just completely in love with the user-friendly ideas Jamie and his think-tank have come up with. I seriously nearly gasped when he showed off that knife shield -- what a great idea. And the names of the knives on the handle? What a great way to take the fear out of a knife set (and also, a great way to take good knives from the realm of the pros and foodies and into the everyday kitchen). So glad he's so passionate about what he does!
When he pulls out the steel. First he says go from base to tip, then tip to base. Yet few seconds later he says, base tip, base tip. So witch is it mate???
@flydaddyA well if your first starting out and going slow its base tip,base tip but if you have it down and your going fast do the base tip,tip base it really does not matter that much its just if your in a rush like your on the line you wont to go fast and the base tip tip base makes it go faster
