i have visited the danube delta,moldova and the carpathians.then i talked too a romanian guy and i had to tell him how beautiful his country is.sure there are many social poblems in romania but they are in germany and anywhere else in the world too.i especially liked lacu rosu.

Gypsy music? There is no such thing! This is Romanian music played by the fantastically talented Romanian band 'Taraf de Haidouks' (they just happen to be gypsy). And for your information, when Romanian folk was being sanitised and rewritten in the Ceausescu years until it became the bland pap they play on 'acasa' today, gypsy musicians like the Taraf were keeping traditional Romanian music alive. You should be grateful to them!

Gypsy musicians play the music of whatever tradition they are brought up in (often with external influences too): Spanish gypsies play Spanish music, Serbian gypsies play Serbian music. Romanian gypsy musicians play all kinds of Romanian music from Transylvanian folk fiddle to Moldovan brass to pop - not just manele! Listen to some other stuff by Taraf de Haidouks - this track isn't manele and isn't typical of their style - they are amazing musicians.

Listen buddy. Ive have traveled recently trough your country. I have been in Kosice, stayed in Poprad and climb on Limnica. All I can say that Romania is at least 4 classes above you and in all aspects. Old and depressing buildings, (all the new ones are wodden made), mess and and verry old few cars on the road. Trasportation is at least 30' years old, and allot of gypsies aroud. At least in Romania they discovered Italy and moving away.:)

I'm Hungarian living in Canada. I have many Romanian friends and have had the privilege to visit Romania. Everyone there treated me like their own family. Most parts of Bucharest you see here show some sort of unspoiled raw beauty this city has. But some parts of Bucharest also have the looks of a big world city like Paris and are nothing like you see here. I've never been out of Europe in my live and when I was in Bucharest I never saw as much poor people as there, but I also never saw so may well dressed people and nice cars like in Bucharest. I recommend it to everyone, it's very cool and the people are very friendly,

I think your language is horrible. The song is sung by world famous musicians, called Taraf de Clejani. Search "Saraiman" and you will find a video of them at a party with the Famous Ford Coppola who likes them very much! Or search "Taraf de Haidouks", "Clejani". They are excellent musicians!
Many of those who live in Bucharest tend to manifest like ashamed people because they live in Romania (a country which doesn't have a good reputation out of its borders, because of the pesimistic kind of people that emmigrates in other countries). They are a shame for the country, though.

it's a great mix , of old and new , kitsch and art , i've never met a person inclined to art and music leaving bucharest feeling bad , especially french , they adore this stuff , it's like bucharest is a museum for them . :)

Listen buddy. Ive have traveled recently trough your country. I have been in Kosice, stayed in Poprad and climb on Limnica. All I can say that Romania is at least 4 classes above you and in all aspects. Old and depressing buildings, (all the new ones are wodden made), mess and and verry old few cars on the road. Trasportation is at least 30' years old, and allot of gypsies aroud. At least in Romania they discovered Italy and moving away.:)

besides the gypsies that wont leave.... this city is a wonderful city, this video is a good representation of the city but this song is a horrible one because its extremely low class... but also romania has a great history, vlad the impaler (dracula you irish bastard), our revolt against the turks, our ancestors the Dacians who destroyed a major part of Rome and we were one of the most civilized people around the same time as the Romans, etc...

I'm Hungarian living in Canada. I have many Romanian friends and have had the privilege to visit Romania. Everyone there treated me like their own family. It's wrong for those from Slovakia or anywhere else to talk all this bullshit. We're all in Europe and should be proud. Let's learn from the past people and be friends.

Where are the all the dogs? I had to wait for my plane tickets for to weeks in this city at a hostel with the strangest poeple because the US post thought it was in Hungary!!! Most parts of Bucharest you see here show some sort of unspoiled raw beauty this city has. But some parts of Bucharest also have the looks of a big world city like Paris and are nothing like you see here. I've never been out of Europe in my live and when I was in Bucharest I never saw as much poor people as there, but I also never saw so may well dressed people and nice cars like in Bucharest. I recommend it to everyone, it's very cool and the people are very friendly,

Si eu am amintiri frumoase din Bucuresti si nu vad de ce se supara unii pe forum. Cladirile cu tencuiala cazuta dau orasului un aspect antic, romantic, unic. Mie imi plac toate cladirile din film, brancovenesti sau blocuri sau arhitectura franceza etc.

I think your language is horrible. The song is sung by world famous musicians, called Taraf de Clejani. Search "Saraiman" and you will find a video of them at a party with the Famous Ford Coppola who likes them very much! Or search "Taraf de Haidouks", "Clejani". They are excellent musicians!

Many of those who live in Bucharest tend to manifest like ashamed people because they live in Romania (a country which doesn't have a good reputation out of its borders, because of the pesimistic kind of people that emmigrates in other countries). They are a shame for the country, though.
You should go and see Bucharest and other places in Romania if you have the time and the money.
P.S. The song sucks.

Great Flick!!Even though I despise what the gypsies have caused to the country's image, I must admit the sound track goes well with the visuals. This lil' flick makes me love and miss my city even more. The city has a character that cannot be duplicated nor denyed, regardless of what the author is trying to convey. Great job amzakei!! Great video, The Time I spend in Bucharest is very much like this with taxi rides, busses and rail.
I like the music as it matches the theme of the visuals. I have a Canon XL2 and I plan on returning to Bucharest before the end of the year.
I would love to meet other film makers over there.
