  • I listened 25 years later in the movie Donnie Darko. This song remind me good old time gone when i was a teenager.

  • 2,383 biggie smalls fans thumbs up this song

  • Christy Turlington <3

  • Still such an amazing song! As for the Biggie thing - he did credit Duran Duran for using a sample from this song. Other than that, this song and video has interesting connections. The track was produced by Nile Rodgers - the force behind late 70's funk/disco group Chic.... futher the choreography for this video was done by Paula Abdul!

  • @Cornextn Thanks for the music trivia! That's very interesting.

  • biggie smalls must have been in short pants when this song came out lol!

  • Humm... 66 justin beaver fans fingered down the video... PATHETIC!!!!

  • @paulmelville11 im a fan of biggy smalls but this song was out way before biggys career

  • @paulmelville11

You should be spanked for saying that, Biggie ripped of from this song. This song was released 1986 way before Biggie started rapping in the streets for a coin or 2.

  • Hey John where are you? Did you reshoted this video in this year after we met in Krani lake? or we know each other since we were kids too? I miss you and I`m waiting for you!

  • I like ......☻

  • Great song, great band!!

  • Thanks for the post.

  • Once in a while a band emerges that is a cut above everyone else in every aspect of their music & who continue to produce excellent tracks several decades later. Duran Duran is one such band. They will always leave an idelible imprint on whoever listens to their songs. Their artistry is beyond compare. They are INCREDIBLE..........

  • This is where they started to suck until Come Undone and Ordinary World. Yeah, John Taylor was hot, I think every female AND male on the planet in the 80s knew that fact. Isn't it funny how women always think they're the only ones who notice something? wuteva.

  • @TheRealCritique

And you don't suck because...? I don't think you know music at all.

  • 80's = pure style, no shit,

today music = pure shit, no style.

  • @faustolg

    and a pure comment ^^

  • @faustolg Have you actually listened to any new music recently???!!! Everything sounds like it was made in the 80s!. Ladyhawke, cutcopy, midnight juggernauts etc. Embrace it. You'll enjoy. x

  • @sergeastorms67 Recently?? in the mid 90's they did "copy, paste" the 60's music style, since 1999 they've been doing the same to the 70's style, calling it "Dance", now since the mid 00's they are stealing all the 80's style, so yes I heard the new music it's all crap, coming from assholes that want fast money, with no talent or love for the music. No!, I don't enjoy heartless music, or maybe you'll understand this: SOULLESS music...

  • @faustolg Dude, you took that completely the wrong way. I just meant that there is a lot of music around at the moment that sounds very very 80's. Not necessarily stealing (borrowing perhaps?) just using similar sounds etc. I didn' mean anything agressive by the comment. However, it seems a bit narrow to say that all modern music is crap etc?

  • @faustolg narrowminded. there's plenty of good modern music out there, if you look in the right places.

  • @faustolg I agree with you, and i am a teen in this time and i want to born in the 80s, that is cool, the punk funk is the best

  • @faustolg

    Totally agree man, 100%

  • @faustolg Haha, amen to that !

  • @faustolg notorioius!

  • j'adore les gens qui regardent cette vidéo

  • bmwe61535d: just do it please!

  • a very nice notorious

  • I love the 80s....not just the music, but also the hair and fashion. It's the era where men are comfortable with their masculinity enough to look pretty.

  • @TheBraynz What are you talking about!? Have you not seen Jersey Shore yet? The whole Guido movement is a salute to pretty men everywhere.

  • I learned the English vocabulary and the meaning of 'Notorious' from this song lol Big thanxxx to DD^^ and thank you very much for posting this music video^^ Really awesome!!

  • John Taylor is an utter BEAST!! RAWRRR!!!!

  • @drezler5:- roxette2 is 100% correct. Nick, Roger & John were born in Birmingham, England. Simon in Bushey, Hertfordshire, England & Andy in Tyne & Wear, England.

    (I'm British born & bred.)

  • duran duran is the best

  • what an amazing song love it

  • They're not from Idaho. They're actually from Brooklyn. Get your facts straight.

  • @drezler5 ,if you are talking about these guys you are wrong,i have my facts straight too, they are from england mainly from birmingham, being that i have been a fan since 1981

  • does anybody knows what he sings in the refrein?? it sounds like: u own the morning, u controle the witness,i leave u only dont monkey with my buisness and the rest i cant follow.. sumbody help me!! thnx from the netherlands

  • @beowulf8000 I think it's "you own the money - you control the witness - I hear you're lonely but don't monkey with my business - you pay the profits to justify your reasons - I heard your promise but I don't believe it - that's why I'll do it again"

  • @chalicechiq yo thnx man... this is really what he sings ur good.. if there is sumtin else i cant understand, ur the man to solve it then haha.... aight peaz dude

  • I loved this song. John is so hot in this video!

  • if we can go back in time and relive the 80s

  • If only we could tun back the clocks!

  • @bmwe61535d - If only...I really miss the 80's.

  • @bmwe61535d just!! hahaa

  • uperoxo! Καλό μήνα!

  • what the duran duran song that moby covered?

  • EXCELENT VIDEOCLIP!!

  • there are some cute girls in this vid.

  • 1986 Damm time flies.

  • 24 years already? You are right, time flies!

  • SPARKLE MOTION!

  • *emotionally*:sometimes i question you're commitment

  • @imphatlikethatd "Sometimes I doubt your commitment to SPARKLE MOTION!"

  • Nick Rhodes IS the one; agreed. Oh so magnetic...........for now I can dream.

  • I still can't understand why this record did not get more success when it was released late '86.

Maybe because all numbers were more or less mid tempo or slow ? maybe lack of bass (like Notorious) ? NIle Rodgers production is discussable...

  • i thought this was successful? it was number 5 in UK and top ten USA

  • My mom said this was at her senior prom

  • ur mom must be a hottie

  • John taylor was a hunk back then, he still is.

Thank god for youtube, it's a shame i have to come on here to listen to decent music.

  • i agree to this except the hunk part. as i am a guy.......i like duran duran.....and just GOOD music in general......sorry GREAT music

  • @facefavour yes, John Taylor still looks good, I was so in love with him and Simon of course, whew a time machine would be so good.........I love this group and always will

  • @facefavour Hes like a fine wine........he ages so well.......hes so damn HOT!~

  • @facefavour yummy is John Taylor. Wonder what he looks like 25 years later? LOL

  • @facefavour Can't go with thehunk part, however, I do agree with the decent music part. Today's stuff sucks.

  • @facefavour u r totally rite. At least you can understand the words, unlike the trash that's palyed today.

  • Sorry. I didnt post that comment. My fucking sister posted those. Shes just pissed that she wasnt born in the 80s. Once again sorry.I loved the 80s.

  • Comment removed

  • NEVER!!!

  • @DonnieDarko97

you're the one who needs to know your fucking history!!!! dumbass!!!

  • if only DD could still make songs ,like these again. amazing.

  • This is notorious for its notoriety...........cause its the BEST SONG EVER. Columbian white really made some good songs back in the 80's. Anything could be a song ....possibilities are endless.

  • Excelente grupo, excelente canciones, su ritmo espectacular, me encanto esta pagina

  • NOTORIOUS

  • such a great group. I agree todays music is dog shit on rye toast.

  • boys r super bad

  • , Naomi0111 you´re right

  • This song just proves that music today is shit..bring it all back for me!.Such a great upload!.

  • a-ha could make a cover of this song.

  • love Duran Duran.

  • ho i brividi...

  • ...NO....NO....NOTORIOUS...

  • great band and music

  • Duran Duran has the hottest chicks ever in music videos!!!!

  • hell yea ....... the best was tess daly in serious.

  • Love love the song....I was a teenager then... however I never loved the video. I was disappointed when DD got on the bandwagon of directors that were using grainy film and bad lighting as an "art form" to make videos look "raw" and "organic".

Steve Windwood received this treatment for "Higher Love" and the Peter Cetera/Amy Grant "Next Time I fall in Love" video among others..........

Had it been in B&W all the way I would have loved it....like the tree though lol.

  • |I noticed it was similar to stevin winwood higher love then too...what you said about organic and band lighting to look raw is what i thought about it then too. not their best video but maybe a move to appear more serious in the video with the aim to still appeal to their existing market was the technique - i think - on notorious.

  • this is badass lol

  • Just goes to show rappers can't come up with beats like this by themselves. Go Duran Duran!!!

  • n.o.t.o.r.i.o.u.s.

  • Donnie Darko 4 Life!

  • Can someone match a video of the F-22A with this track - please.....

  • @WinchesterRanger hahaha that would be awesome

  • Hell Yeah!! These Niggas are hella cool!! Thank you!!

  • didntttt biggie sing this
