  • Haha Cool stuff Matt. I did the in game versions of the Golden Axe characters. Not quite as fun as the cool stuff you guys did.

  • can you tell me the name of program

  • dude... DUDE... CHILLLL...AWESOME FLEXIBLE RIGS..

  • @CokeSupply he used autodesk MAYA to make it

  • What software did you use to create the models?

  • guaaaaaaaaaaauuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

  • what software is this, its a really creative design, ive tried to make animations with other softwares, eg paint, flash etc but this is amazing

  • Awesome. Inspiring :)

  • i just love sticky lips dude, never seen that before, is too hard to achieve?

  • @samuelmq it is a bit of a complicated setup but is a system I did recognize from the book: Maya Techniques: Hyper-Real Creature Creation.

From what I can tell from this really great demo reel, I think he based in part or full his sticky lips and fleshy eye setup tutorials from that book.

  • Love your work on several of these rigs Matt.

Could i ask, how did you limit the vehicles wheels (or its ctrl curves) on the ground? Some use of dynamics/hard body?

Looking to do a similar automation in one of my rigs, and yours seem to work splendidly.

  • hey, that truck at the end from red faction, did you make that?

  • @RazorIndie

    Just the rigging of it.

  • @mattrigger if i rigged half as good as you i think i would still not be any good. Your awesome :]

  • Which program did you us? for school I need to work with 3D-Max

  • Incredible!!

Really inspiring work, especially the face rigging D= interested in the realtime face-mocap stablizing, is there scope for previzualizing face mocap live with your tools?

  • which software is that?

    excellent

  • Very Nice!

  • where do I ownload that program??

  • @sharp471 You can download it at google.com.

    :P

  • Must've took forever to set up all and render, right?

  • really great man, im flabgasted^^

  • oh my gosh that's very cool!

  • Amazing flexibility on the monkey rig.. on every rig actually.. Even the car in the end has superb flexibility. Do you primarily use Maya for these?

  • @Mixamo3DAnimation

Yes, all the rigs are done in Maya. The mocap data is handled in Motion Builder.

  • OMG amazing

    Which Program did you use?

I am a beginner with blender, can I do the same with blender?

  • @XBox360Allianz

    its Autodesk Maya

  • brutal tu reel

  • absolutely sick work mate!! Interested ho the verts loc tool works, is that an apin node or deformer you wrote?

  • @andylt01

A world space blend, on the verts I wanted to lock. I also hijacked the soft mod tool so that whenever it created a new softmod it put it up stream of the world space blend. All was done in mel, no plugin or extra node.

  • That was amazing! The 'sticky lip' feature was especially mind boggling

  • fantastic rigs man. totally blown away by the red-faction vehicle rigs. they were awesome in the game too :)

  • what programs do you use? the rigs and models are fantastic...

  • Is pendulumstudios still in operation? Everything on their site news wise is from 08.

  • what program did you do it?

    what additional funds used?

  • Great work man,

    awesome!

  • 0:07 I couldnt recognize at first who was the real one :P

  • WOW! 5/5

How long have you been learning?

  • guau que trabajo tan impresionante, me ha gustado mucho. algun dia hare algo asi. yo manejo blender, pero maya tambien lo conozco y me gusta mucho. que impresionante en verdad, congratulations

  • this is awesome!

  • This is the best demo reel I have ever seen. Period.

    what program(s) do you use?

  • It's Maya.

  • @Pentivarius I use 3d Studio max. Do you think that maya is better in drawing humans and this stuff?

    thanks

  • It depends on how comfortable you are with each one's tools. All that matters is how fast you can get the job done. I would recommend 3DS to beginners because it's easier to pick up, but in the end, Maya will prove deeper and more comprehensive to experienced users.

Just try Maya after learning the basics of modeling with 3DS, see which one you like better.

I personally started with Max, but when I tried Maya I switched, because the interface of Max was harder to use for me

    Hope that helps!

  • ..But that's not to say 3DS is a noob tool, the features Maya has that 3DS doesn't aren't the kind of things you'll be using very often, maybe never at all.

  • Daaaamn Matt awesome video...

    cheers from Denis (Bulgaria) :)
