  • it helps to have a compassionate and understanding pillow or to vent completely underwater - otherwise you may only be perpetuating a vicious cycle of negative attachments that ultimately closes the heart through desensitivity

  • You're hot, and you gave me some useful tips .. Im subscribing :)

  • A theraputic F-bomb. I'll do it!

  • hi bridget... lol

1:25 The body feels more pain when orgasming . emotional pain as we perceive is when the body gets a little relief thats just FYI

its hard to believe because love and orgasm aparently feels good.

  • swearing may cause tension or migraines for some folks..... so just relax....

    pain preceeds pleasure.

  • I support hugging it out. People need to do that more.

  • i love your channel its very educational

  • Then why do people sometimes swear during sex?

Does that mean swearing can enhance the pleasure or that the sex actually sucks!?

Yikes, I don't want to know!

  • Therapeutic F-bomb. LOL! I love it!

  • Had kidney stones 3 times and I can tell ya, this is true. Unfortunately, the hospital emergency room patients didn't understand. I sounded like Linda Blair in The Exorcist...

  • Swearing during sex makes it more stimulating or enjoyable. :p

  • F&$*K My strep throat HURTS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh wow,.. I thought people who swears alot aren't very bright because they doesn't have much vocabularies. But I know I know that they have different reasons too.

  • Emotional pain isnt life or death...

  • I agree...you are stunningly hot! AND I actually like to listen to you. 5 stars for Brigitte Dale

  • so dry. so hilarious. so informative.

  • fuck

  • Colbert mentioned the swearing study tonight on his show. Way to be ahead of the curve.

  • 1,000 view! i'm so cool....lol

  • You are so friendly and cute.

  • I want to hear you drop the f-bomb. You can bleep it out, but its hard to imagine you saying it and even if you said "fuh" only and bleeped the rest, it'd still give us the illusion you did drop the F-bomb!

  • I completely agree. I'm going to second that :)

  • A therapeutic F-bomb now and then might be a good ordination....

But do not over do it! If swearing become a habit - it will looses it's effect over time.

Also, in situations where your analytic ability

is needed - don't swear and fire up yourself. Save it for later.

    Thanks for the video.

  • I was waiting to hear you say a swearword. LOL...one day i hope to be fortunate to hear one come from you..heheh...Great video Bridget. Have a fantastic weekend. x

  • Brigitte your awesome i love your videos

  • i love how you did the "ow bear that really hurts"

it reminds me of charlie bit my finger

  • hehe much gaiety!

It's become a forum for releasing expletives!

perchance the Lady herself will grace us with an entry of her own?

    Peace be ...blah blah blah

  • you swore with your hands at around 2 minutes in the uk. let's just pretend that makes sense and you'll get it when you get it. ;)

  • Sorry Brigitte, but, I just can't picture you all of a sudden cutting loose with a string of profanities. But who knows, you've surprised me in the past,,, and you are from Nebraska.

  • i'm always starting my day with an f-bomb. the alarm goes off, wakes me up, and suprisingly almost every morning i respond with "oh you've got to be f***ing kidding me!?".

Its not that i doent like waking up, i just cant believe that its already that time lol

  • I am going to wake up every morning shouting Fuck...might get me through the day! lol

  • Pain is natures way of telling you you're still alive, for now. :)

  • That's NUCKING FUTS! xD

  • -What do you do when someone starts a rumour about you or steals your idea or breaks your heart... OR denies her audience a reprise of such comedy gold as the much celebrated 'Dance Off' gag?

    -F bomb therapy

    Peace be f$#%ing with you

  • maybe a therapeutic F bomb to start your day.. hehe:) love it

  • I'm sorry but could you please tell me in detail what an F bomb is?

  • if you get your arm torn off I don't think swearing going to help much.

    maybe cocane may

    Great video

  • you get hurt at a carnival

    you yell 'fuck'

    medicated

moms all around throw a fit

    'mind your language'

    you get kicked out

suddenly saying 'fuck' doesnt feel so good

    meta

  • theraputic f bomb :]

  • If you learn some cursing words of a really obscure language then you can blurt them out at will...even mid-sentence, mid-conversation and your friend will be none the wiser!

Oh, and I've just returned from Mars so a Happy 'belated' Birthday!...no need to remind us of your age - youthful as ever! :o)

  • I had an improv teacher say that saying 'F@#k' is a cheap laugh, because everybody laughs when people say F@&k. Moderation is key to everything.

  • "Ow...bear! That really hurts." LOL. I don't really use any real cusswords myself, but this is still a cool video. :)

Oh, and happy belated birthday...I had no idea you just celebrated your b-day. (It happens to be my dad's b-day today...)

  • Fight or flight is still relevant for most bear encounters; I guess swearing at the bear would work if it was yogi bear

  • yes, but do YOU swear? and if so, what makes you swear?( if you can tell us..)

  • remember: when in doubt, hug it out! ;) lol

    peace...

  • hey happy birthday again brigitte

  • Those F#*#$@ bitey bears are such a pest :-)

PS. would you mind not looking so cute, it's hard to concentrate on what your saying :-D

  • Fuck yeah!

    ...yup - works for me

  • true, swearing does work better :D

  • I love Improv.

  • I find swearing at crazy drivers very therapeutic. I can't really "flight" or "fight", so swearing works great. :-)

  • Whenever I get hurt (physically that is) I swear in German. That way I'm least likely to offend anyone within earshot. Unless they are German.

  • it feels good to swear. like better than saying crap, or fudge, because you know your not supposed to say it, which makes it feel so right.

  • I prefer hug it out. Brigitte, Would you be interested in a bit of arguing with me to test this theory?

  • haha smooth

  • very smooth...lol

  • What's really therapeutic and usualy stops any future encounters, is to just punch that someone right in the face, square on, pop'em right in the eye, either one will do!

Not in the nose, too bloody. and you don't want to kill them, just let them know you don't appreciate their BS.

Don't even give them chance to finish what they are saying, you know it's just another insult or bad mouthing, so just take the shot, you will feel better and you don't even have to swear!

    People learn fast =])

  • ps...if they wear glasses, then use the lips. Either way they will be the one's swearing and you satisfy your needs as well. Win Win!!!

Fight or Flight is and emotional reaction to any stimuli.

And I am only kid'n...KEEP your F@#%ing hands to yourself...period.

Althought sometimes YOU have to stand up and fight, but only in an imperfect world and we don't have that problem?! haha

  • Hahaha ifxman while I can truly appreciate your testament, down this end of the planet that is just a sure way to get your wig fully split but I suppose if you don't mind a little time in traction then heyyyyy...

  • Thanks for replying! I was hoping someone would find humor in it! =])

Hey maybe a different place and time things were different. When people knew this thing called Cause & Effect and YOU knew there were consequences for your actions. And after 54 yrs on this planet I did my share of wig splitting. I was young and had to survive. Maybe if people knew they were gonna get popped acting like an ass then so be it. We all make our own choices. I think that still applies? All I have is my word.

  • The real problem develops when you can't 'fight' or 'flight'. For example, when you are working with a coworker you hate.

You get stuck in No Man's Land...you can't hit him & you can't leave! It's completely unnatural and very bad for your health.

  • Interesting! I try not to swear often. Though I noticed when I get hurt I say the f bomb alot haha

  • heheeh what worries me most is this theory is believable....But if everyone started their day with an f bomb the world would become desensatised and we would have to go through all the other swear words till they were gone then create some more...because surely its only satisfying when its a taboo right?

  • that's a good point, and a whole nother video blog idea... :)

  • Does the study mention if they tested people who were allowed to yell non curses? Like, is it just as satisfying to yell Kumquat? Or Winnebago?

  • First Comment. Never done that before. :)

  • you never forget your first
