Africa is made up of tribal systems unlike Europe. Darfur used to be part of the Sokoto Caliphate which was created by Usman dan fodio and destroyed by the Brits. I am not trying to be arrogant but the darfur situation is concerned with events 200 years ago. The war is being fought by differing tribal groups. One of these groups is the Hausa and Fulani whom originate from modern day Nigeria and are alien to Sudan. This was the reason the Nigerian Armyunder UN mandate is there protecting one of its tribes.Hausas live in at least 8 west african and central african countries. They came to that region during the era of Sokoto Caliphate under Dan Fodio.
