  • Great! Really nice job!

  • You guys rock. It's like rock jazz. So, yeah, I enjoyed it. I was only listening to the music at first. When I started watching the video towards the end and saw y'all jamming out, I had to watch again. All I know is I like jazz, and I like what I like. So cheers and rock on!

  • to me this is the tandem Roebke/Rosaly that is impressive here.. Quite a shock.

  • @freddiefreejazzify its no shock

  • Considering how violently he is playing, I wonder if that vibraphonist has pain problems in his arms and shoulders/back. Ive never seen someone hit the instrument that aggressively.

  • i like this a lot.

  • great.. sound..!

  • @dwbugher

Ah ah, very funny... Yep I dare, and so do they!! What about you? Aren't u one of those guys who'd like to see jazz in a very nice museum? I'm afraid, your argument is ridiculous and peremptory, and I'm glad that 22 people liked that video and only two didn't. Besides, speaking of legit jazz is right the opposite to the spirit of this music. AND... Bobby Hutcherson never had to prove anything.

  • Totally and utterly killing. Such a great band!

  • To those who don't seem to like this music, let me suggest you something: try some avant garde jazz from the early 60s and you'll see the spirit... For instance, Grachan Moncur III - Evolution (blue note 1963), Bobby Hutcherson - Components & Dialogue (blue note, 1965), Jackie McLean - Destination Out (blue note 1963). Then maybe you shall revise your damn fool judgement.. and realize that these cats are killing - with one of today's best rhythm section (cf. Jeb Bishop Trio - 2009)!

How DARE you compare these guys to such great artists as Bobby Hutcherson and Jackie McLean. You are a fool. You will duly note that the aforementioned artists FIRST proved their worth playing legit jazz and THEN ventured into the free realm. These chumps here are college drop outs who couldn't make it playing within changes so they labeled themselves "avant garde" and went on to rape the greatest American music ever conceived.

  • @dwbugher

After a few jam sessions with Hank Mobley, Bobby Hutcherson started out, right away, in less-accessible territory when he emerged in the '60s playing cerebral, challenging modern jazz that often bordered on avant-garde. He didn't have to prove anything. He was just himself, like those guys. As for Jason Adasiewicz and Josh Berman, they played with Rob Mazurek and Bil Dixon. You old ignorant.

And meditate that, if you have brains:

    "We don't determine music,

    The music determines us;

    We only follow it

To the end of our life:

Then it goes on without us."

    (STEVE LACY)
