the choir drifted slightly flat especially before the brass entrance.
also, intonation in the brass is questionable and in the first brass entrance that note in the trumpet was played as a triplet as opposed to what is written, a sixteenth note
brava to all of you who sang that high c at the end! I'm a low alto, so that's physically impossible for me. We're singing this song for our Christmas concert, I am way excited.
Singing 2nd bass was so much fun on this song. I wish someone would post some more vids from this choral fest and from the last 2 cuz I sang at those too.
Oh wow, this was easily the best choral experience of my life, right here. I get chills down my spine listening to it now, but there... never thought I'd be shivering that hard while surrounded by 300 people.
im a choir singer as well, and Tenors are great, but this song could never be as beautiful as it is now if just the Tenors sang. =] You'll need everyones help.
HAHA i got part of the camera for like 10 seconds. .. TENERS ARE WHERE IT IS AT! lol. RMLHS all the way! This song was so much fun, but we sang it better for the rehearsal the day before lol
THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS!!!!!!!!!!!! I was sick of listening to the IYC do this FAR too fast and just a mediocre job........... Oh and that tenor complaining about a high A??? Gimme a break, Go sing the golden dream, the tenors Go up to a high B, your not a true tenor if you complain about an A, that notes in the Messiah(Hallelujah Chorus) And in How Lovely Is Thy Dwelking Place By Braums AND Battle Of Jericho by Moses Hogan AND in many other pieces but those are just the songs ive done

This is the most bitchin' piece I have ever sung. And that last note, for the Tenor's, that's a high A, that's an A ABOVE middle C. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, A = REALLY FUCKING HIGH. I SERIOUSLY considered punching myself in the nuts before singing this piece.
This stirring song of peace and hope speaks to my heart. I was at the performance and still feel a chill of joy whenever I think of both the song and the setting. What a blessing to have been there. Thanks for posting this most excellent reminder.
thank you for cutting off the video before all the clapping started!

Beautiful song mostly well done
the choir drifted slightly flat especially before the brass entrance.
also, intonation in the brass is questionable and in the first brass entrance that note in the trumpet was played as a triplet as opposed to what is written, a sixteenth note
overall good job though

I was there, and I was swelling with tears. It's a beautiful piece.
On an unrelated note, there's too much foul language in these comments. It really offends me how such words have infiltrated our casual conversation.

I agree with the language comment.

I was there, and the balance was better live. I think it's just the camera's fault.
