  • Thanks for this lesson!

    Take care!

    God bless you!

  • I guess i'll do the best i can

    Thanks...

  • Hi can you just tell me exactly where to put my fingers please??? I dont really understand tabs. My grandma is a pastor and her church anniversary is next month, I really need to learn this song.....

  • The point of tablature or tabs is to tell you where to put your fingers. In this video, like most of the other videos I've done, I start telling you where to put your fingers around the 3 minute mark.

It really doesn't get any easier.

    Blessings,

    Dave

  • hi dave the only problem i have with your teaching is that you dont show were you put your fingers there are some parts i dont get .

  • Starting at 3 minutes in are the tab-like chord descriptions, telling you where to put your fingers.

  • Do you know "Flow To You" by Bishop Paul Morton ?

  • Bro all I can say is that I love you for this video, our praise teams plays many Isreal & NB songs, now I will be playing these songs better thanks to you . GOD BLESS YOU

  • Great player and great teacher.

God bless you for sharing your talents.

  • hey gtrdave how do you do your strumming in the first bit and chorus im trying to copy it yet i get mixed up a lot... are you able to make an instructional for the strumming pattern with the hits of the guitar to keep the beat... sorry just learning guitar and i am trying to keep the beat but cant.

    Thanks

  • I had learned friend if god at one time; but can't remember, the strumming is almost everything in most of these Israel tunes I noticed, Have you tried adding f# (9th fret)on the third chord of the beginning of you are good; sounds interesting I thought.

  • Hey Dave, I learned this one because you inspired me, Thank You, By the way can show the proper chords for Friend of God so I could add that to my praise arsenal if you get a chance?

  • Thank YOU. Yes, I'll try to get another video or two up soon. Friend of God, We Have Overcome and probably some others.
