I was rewatching the scenes of Godric and Eric, the relationship I got from Godric and Eric was love. Not a sexual one, but more of a level of respect that became love. When Godric made Eric into a vampire, Godric promised Eric that he will be a father, a brother, and a child to Eric. He did all that. As a girl that support gay rights, I would love to think that they did have a sexual relationship, but I don't think they ever crossed that line mostly bcuz Eric needed family more than sex.

It's not cuz I think it's wrong, I just think that Eric lost his family, and when he was just about to die, Godric saved his life, offering Eric what he really needed, a family. Of course Eric is going to agree with it, so when Godric died, it was like Eric losing his family all over again. There's just too much respect in their relationship.

In the books Eric was made a vampire by a gay vampire who forced him into a sexual relationship. His maker was a different person in the books--not Godric. TB took the character of Godric from Book 2 and re-invented him as Eric's maker for the show. We don't really know if their relationship was ever sexual just as we don't really know if Eric's relationship with Pam on the SHOW was ever sexual. TB is keeping these relationships ambiguous...probably on purpose.

Yes, he had sexual relationship with his maker in the book, it merely happened because he respected him, and he had never enjoyed that. Um, actually, if you watch the whole show...Eric IS bisexual. Most vampires are bisexual because they are very sexual creatures. In the book Godric is gay, and in the show there are hints which leads me to believe he is in fact gay or bisexual.

I haven't seen the show. I've only read the books and in the books Eric's maker/lover is named Appius Livius Ocella and is not a main character in the series. He only appears in the most recent book. I guess his story is different in the show. Is Eric bisexual in the show? Cause in the books he's not. He only has sex with Ocella because he has to do anything his master wants him to do and Ocella is gay.
