@Soard666 its hard to judge someone on something that you have never done its not as easy as it looks to hunt. But its been done for centuries some where down the line your family did the same they would of had to. Its not fair to say hunters are murderers wild game still has a chance to get away. A cow or chicken in a fence does not have any chance at all. So whats more cruel caging an animal to be killed or giving one a chance. I hunt for food not so much for sport, i do enjoy the challange.
@studdgage Unfortunately, you do have a good point. For food, and if you do not happen to be a full vegetarian like me, animals have to be killed. Animals kill each other for food. Though maybe our methods are more guaranteed for a kill, which in my opinion is also unfortunately unfair. Hunters who eat their food, I’ve less complaints against.

@FieryRivers Hey.. I understand your concern. It's hard to look at this shark without thinking it might have been abused. They were fishing for tuna which can get up to 600 lbs. I just shot the video. The people that hooked it radioed to the Marine Biologist in charge. He said to bring it for diagnostic purposes. The info the Biologists get helps them keep up with health of marine life in the Gulf. The meat was donated to the Katrina relief effort. Thanks for you monkey a** comment. :)
Well, good to know. The people in the video however should still show a bit respect to the shark, it kinda deserves it, even more so since there was really no intention/reason to kill it, and it goes to the needy.

He's the producer of the TV channel and we had been shooting video for 8 or more hours. Everyone was dead tired and worn out. Notice how he almost trips stepping over the shark. It was the end of a long hard day and we were all a little punch drunk. You probably had to be there to really understand. We shot video of 60 or 80 large fishing boats and crews.

I think the total prize money for all boats was over a half million $. It was a big deal and the people putting the tourney on are very much up to speed as to protecting the ecology of the Gulf of Mexico. This may be upsetting for most people but I have to say its a good way of seeing how large sharks are and you get alot of respect for them when you see those teeth.

Well, good to know. The people in the video however should still show a bit respect to the shark, it kinda deserves it, even more so since there was really no intention/reason to kill it, and it goes to the needy.
What I'm seeing here would be considered defiling a corpse anywhere, should it be a human in question.
Not that I'd be any greenpeace hippie, humans always come before animals, but especially the dude in the end comes out a bit of a douche bag.

@FieryRivers I agree with you for the most part. You would have to know the guy at the end of the video. It was an attempt to be funny. He's the producer of the TV channel and we had been shooting video for 8 or more hours. Everyone was dead tired and worn out. Notice how he almost trips stepping over the shark. It was the end of a long hard day and we were all a little punch drunk. You probably had to be there to really understand. We shot video of 60 or 80 large fishing boats and crews.

@videoguysimster And weighed every single fish.. hundreds. The single biggest winner of all the boats won $105,000.00 in prize money. I think the total prize money for all boats was over a half million $. It was a big deal and the people putting the tourney on are very much up to speed as to protecting the ecology of the Gulf of Mexico. To many who run this event this is there life long work and labor. Anyone commenting here needs to know these people are committed to doing this right.

This may be upsetting for most people but I have to say its a good way of seeing how large sharks are and you get alot of respect for them when you see those teeth.
Sharks are fish and we all eat tuna, codfish and seabass and some peoples ancestors ate sharks , its natural to fish for them.
