If theres another Smash Bros game I think its kinda obvious that Sonic would make a return appearance. He may not be a Nintendo character. But because he was requested by so many people to be in this game, I don't think Nintendo would be dumb enough to give him the boot for a sequel.

I also would like it if more 3rd party characters get added to future installments. Nintendo have pretty much run out of all their most popular characters. I'd rather have Mega Man than Eggplant Wizard, lol.

Actually that's not true. If you read that Iwata Asks article, Sakurai said he made it to be as if was the last one. No one knows if this going to be the last one, but since Sakurai doesn't enjoy making sequels this will probably be the one where there is a direct influence from him. Nintendo obviously wouldn't stop one of their popular franchises.

Because Smash Bros. was originally meant for 1st and 2nd parties only, and the only reason Snake is becuase Konami "practically begged" for him to be in Melee, so they put him in Brawl. It was because of this that people started requesting Sonic to be in too, and he became the top requested character, so they put him in. In other words, they're just flukes, so I don't think they'll break the tradiotion any further by putting two third parties from the same game as playable.

Also, wanting to look towards any Marth specifics (Sword Dance recovery, Ken's Combo 1 and 2 (2 being Fair Spam -> Final Smash) and Captain Falcon specifics (Sweetspot Knee, Side-B Overboost towards the edge, Moonwalking)...

Dashdancing is in, L-canceling is out.

Ken Combo works differently because his fair, although faster, has much less knockback.

Fair spam > Final Smash seems pretty useless to me... If you're going to fair spam, you might as well lead them off the edge and dair spike rather than trying to deal more damage.

you bring up interesting points. It seems to me from some of the most recent vids that Fox and Falco don't really fastfall like they used to either. As of right now the most promising characters for me are Squirtle, Meta, Falcon, and Lucario. R.O.B. seems so broken spamming veritcal projectiles and the game speed is masked by the 4 player chaos. When it's 1v1 it's all flaws are revealed. Also they took out Autosweet spot edge for most ppl and i hear that there is auto L-Cancell now. +/- T.T
