  • Hi Passionitliberal-- Sorry to hear about your ruptured disc. Remember this video is to educate people about Back pain. I was bed ridden for 4 weeks and couldn't move or breath if I did it felt like someone was stabbing me in the back with a knife and then twisting. I went through that pain for 4 weeks. So I do understand the pain also I see personally working with a clinic how people who have had surgery still have that pain. I am just saying there are other factors to look at first....

  • But you should be careful what you say bc everybody is different.

  • my disc ruptured I had no choice but to have surgery some people have such severe injuries surgery is the only way. My disc ruptured I could not walk, I lost bladder control and bowel, I could not sleep and lost like 15 lbs in 2 weeks bc I couldn't move or eat. If you or anybody is in that kind of pain YOU WOULD have surgery. But now I'm still in pain (nothing like prior surgery) and they have recommend a fusion Im researching it.

  • Great post!

  • Do you recommend sleeping on a hard surface to relieve back pain?

  • Hi Resedoton,

what kind of back pain are you having?

  • I have pain in the lower part of my back only in the morning when I wake up then I'm fine after an hour or so. I injured it doing chip ups or getting up from hanging upside down using gravity boots-not sure. I read somewhere that it's always best to sleep on a hard surface.

  • it is good to sleep on a firm surface but you want to make sure it is not to hard because it could irate your back.depending on the injury. What's exactly wrong with your back did you strain it, pull a muscle..etc?

  • Not sure if I strained it or pulled a muscle. I just removed the foam mattress from my futon. I'll let you know if it helps. Thanks.

  • Hi Resedoton, Do you have a Osteopath in your area? I would recommend you go get an assessment to see what you did to your back.

  • If you want to be healthy, fire your doctor.

  • Haven't gone back since :-)
