Uh, this IS a fictional movie. Sure global warming is real, but the idea of a giant drastic storm changing the face of the world over the course of a week is made up. Climate change is a very slow process.

I happen to be a meteorologist in training and I want to say that this will not happen. because these event are too extreme and its not realistic. I think this made to warn people about global warming which there is allot of clues to this. also the coldest spot can never reach -143°, which in real time the coldest we seem is -70° and that is in Antarctica. also the storms are MUCH too big. most storms can be the size of japan and not more.

I really liked this movie, it was really greay, the special effects, also great..BUT..There were so many little flaws, like silly mistakes...Like, did you gys notice the MASSIVE waves splashing OVER the cars and buses...instead of pretty much chucking them, and them being tossed with the water...and like other small mistakes some movies make..Awsome movie none-the less..but the tidal wave scene was awsome, but..bugged me, cause the watyer just splashed over the cars, etc...:)
