When you start you're computer, just before the Windows XP icon loads, press F8 and you will see an option with "Start Windows with Command Prompt". Click that, and wait for the Command Prompt, then tap this in the Command Prompt: %systemroot%\system32\restore\­rstrui.exe

when i go to apearance it doesn;'t change to vista,it changes to windows classic even if it says aero 32 for the skin it doesn't show the preview,its all black then when i click apply or OK it changes to windows classic. plz hlp

Simple answer you need a patched uxtheme32.dll

Its easy to do, message me with your operating system and service pack ill tell you how to do it.

lol all the vista themes for xp are good but they all fail on one thing. the cross, minimize, and maximize buttons. they don't highlight as bright as vista does when you put the cursor over them. that is something that needs to be fixed.

Do you work for Microsoft by any chance? LOL How come everyone I speak to say that they have problems with vista? My local computer shop is loves vista cos they make a fortune removing it and installing XP!

Windows Xp was out for 4-6 years (not exactly sure) b4 windows Vista was released.

Windows Vista was out for 1.... and they are already going to replace it with windows 7.

Vista = Fail.

but i do like the look of the toolbars.

actually vista sux and xp rox

with vista I always had problems and also runs slow and eats to much ram well i got 2gb of ram but why let it to use 40% of it when it can use only like 200mb of ram xp uses even less but my xp is moded I installed XP blue edition and it comes with that theme you got on this vid icons.. looks like vista and of course rox everything works on xp (its like vista just better) and MICROSOFT is PROUD that they made such good os - XP which is so popular and vista is FAIL

having a small issue with the theme, my desktop is set to 1600 x 1200 when I go to the start button and click, the text for all my options on the right (e.g., control panel, my music, etc.) is cropped. In other words, you can't see all of it because the space is too small. I tried going to display properties>appearance but the font size is already set to normal. Any ideas? Thanks.
