Africa is really rich in many ways but many carry on with illegal activities. So that the African do not get that wealth. I would like to thank the farmers lobby, Willie Nelson of Farm Aid, ADM, Ethanol lobby, the Socialist, the tax and spend US Congress, for bringing this suffering and starvation about. If it was'nt for you, the free markets of these poor country's would have provided more than enough of there own food. So very sad, ignorance continues to prevail.

Hi everyone. What are the best ways to help these people? Donating money is nice but might not be the ultimate solution, so what else? I mean this stuff is kind of overwhelming. Other things I can think of is maybe get involved politically, study public health, do Peace Corps or volunteer as a doctor or something. I hear Mountains beyond Mountains is a good book. God bless.

I would like to take the time to thank the liberal fascist for subsidizing the American farmers with our tax dollars to grow corn for a tank of gasoline. Further polluting the environment, driving up food cost, and making it impossible for a poor farmer in Africa to grow grain and make enough profit to survive. All to "save" the American farmer.

Putit, it gets even better. Do you realize that both the Americans and Japanese "subsidize and stabilize" the rice markets? The Philippines is suffering a rice shortage while the Japs are giving away American rice we forced them to buy as free feed for farm animals? Trade rules to "protect" farmers prevent them from putting it on the world market.
