Evans declared for the NBA Draft AFTER Calipari signed with Kentucky. How about checking up on Memphis's graduation rate before Calipari went there and what it was after he left? You'll find that it increased during his tenure at Memphis. He even said so himself during this very press conference.
Evans said before he played a game for Memphis "I'll come back for my second year if it looks like we have a chance to win a national championship". Yeah, real motivated toward graduation. And Memphis' graduation rate was so embarrasingly low it would have been hard not to improve on it. Most of his players that come back do so only becasue they're told they're not ready for the pros, like girlfriend beater Dozier.
