  • i luv abby wambach she is the best and always will be haha

  • AMERICAAAAAAA, FUCK YEAH!

  • Are Abby and Hope lesbians? ;-)

  • WOW

  • My mom went to the the same high school as Abby Wambach (Our Lady Mercy) in Rochester, NY, She is as proud as our country is, if not more so. USA! USA! USA!

  • Megan rapinoe is DA BOMB!

  • I miss womens world cup soccer so much. :(

  • Marta and Erika disliked this video

  • Ian Darke is my favorite commentator ever. Especially since he did both this game and Landon Donovan's goal.

  • when i heard ian darke's emotional commentating, it gave me chills. than julie foudy came on and i fell asleep. then hope solo celebrated in front of the camera and i woke up happy

  • I find this easy to masturbate to

  • Ian Drake and Juile Foudy deserve Emmy awards for their work during the WWC.

  • Amazing!!!

  • @pcelovebrds10

    I know right

  • this still gives me chills!

  • @ohdangitsbean924 dude i know me too!!!

  • What a cross! I mean REALLY!

  • I didn't see Donovan's goal live. This more than made up for it!

  • how can you dislike this???

  • Last year it was Donovan. This year it was Wambach.

  • :26 marta either looks like she's choking on air or she's gonna cry

  • there is 1 brazilean who watched this vedio

  • haha hope solo is so cute

  • this will never get old.

  • @pcelovebrds10 This clip will live in American sports history....same as the Donovan goal, same as the Miracle on Ice. And the sound of the ball hitting the back of the net is just the icing on the cake.

  • @bigjames02 yes very true!!

  • brazil deserved to lose after that BULLSHIT wasting time stunt. thats the shit that turns ppl away from watching soccer. USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The only thing poor about this goal was Abby's celebration slide lol

  • this never gets old

  • rapinoes cross was UH-MAZE-ING !!!!! i <3 rapinoe:D

  • i think i just watched this like 50 times in a row

  • Hope Abby stays for 2015.

  • cant stop watching this so....... amazing

  • This is one of the greatest examples of the American spirit. They refused to give up, and refused to lose. There is no doubt that they were frustrated at all the bad calls, and the fake injury but instead of throwing fits, they used it as motivation. Not once did I see any of the players even remotely get upset. The U.S. is so lucky to have them representing our country. It is a privilege and honor to have all these ladies play for us. London 2012 here we come! Winning in mind, gold in our eyes.

  • I wish I was as good as Abby Wambach.

  • The goal was my second favorite part.. Abby's fall was my favorite<3 haha go USA!

  • Such a win, this was our final

  • gives me goosebumps everytime I watch it<3

  • @themadjack101 and the funny thing is she normally doesnt start and putting her in the starting line up was the only lineup change for brasil in that game

  • Diane for brazil is probably the most hated person in brazil

    1. she missed the penalty in pk's

    2. she was supposed to be marking wambach when she scored in over time

    3. she scored the first own goal in the beginning

  • I went nuts when this happened. I was going crazy

  • @brainwreck1 Have you noticed the popularity of WPS sky rocketing since the World Cup? Down a man and goal with seconds left, then scoring in the 123rd minute of stoppage time, and that's not memorable? This is one of the greatest comebacks in history. Just because a team loses doesn't mean that what they've done previously won't be remembered. When the Olympic qualifiers come around, I can guarantee you someone will mention the "Abby Wambach goal that saved the U.S.A.'s life in the World Cup."

  • @brainwreck1 it is hardly forgotten everyone is still talking about it besides, soccer is now the new thing to do in the usa FACT! both of their games this fall are televised (espn2 and foxsoccer) wps games are being televised and more and more people are watching soccer in general now. it was a bigger win that what people realize..plus people are stoked for the olylmpics next summer and 2015 world cup more than they are for the mens in 2014

  • @CollegeOfMusic22 speak for yourself... i'm much more stoked for the men's 2014 world cup and so are most of the soccer fans i am acquainted with.

  • @CollegeOfMusic22 Who is televising WPS games? I'd like to watch them.

  • @sableghost

    Fox Soccer Channel!

  • Last minute goals are always special, remember turkey in euro 2008 or man utd vs bayern. . . always special

  • Chills

  • Terrible Brazilian defense....that was a given....

  • Abby knows how to give good head ZING

  • *sigh* now it's back to watching WPS with horrible camera angles. :(

I tried watching some of the Asia Cup games and even the U-20 World Cup. Shits boring as hell. The men cry for fouls when they trip over their own damn shoelaces... -.-

  • one of the best crosses ever (either gender).

  • I lost my mind when this goal happened.

  • i cant help but smile everytime i watch something like this, its amazing. the best goal i have ever seen. i will never get tired of watching this. The feelings and emotions of this game will last forever

  • OMG Hope Solo celebrates sooooo cuuutee like a lil' child :D

  • Even thought we lost the World Cup I think the USA in general grew closer, this goal was simply amazing! Watching it now after a few weeks after the cup still gives me the feelings to jump and scream! So what if we didnt win the world cup? There is the Olympics These women are amazing role models to people of all ages. Women's soccer is so much more thrilling to watch! Abby's goal thanks to Megan's cross, or Hope Solo's save on the third pk are the the perfect example of playing with heart. USA!

  • wow who would ever thought i would get the chills from womans soccer

  • Best announcer everrrrrrr!

  • I bet the one person who disliked this was a Brazil supporter. xD

  • i was so happy to see that happen

  • Well, I was by myself watching this and I couldn't even scream when it happened. I just sorta fell off the couch and slumped forward over the coffee table. Good times.

  • I had stepped out of my room to rant to my family about how the ref was a idiot and Brazil faking injuries and when i came back in the room and saw the score i had to apologize for my rant :)

  • This is why I am proud to be an american, we fucking do amazing shit.

  • @MorgieCSA45 Yes we do! Well said!

  • @MorgieCSA45 yeah then you lose to japan.

  • this is one of the best plays... not in 2011, but in all history.

  • I was at a playdate when that hapened. Now I REALLY regret going on that playdate

  • IAN DARKE(the commentators) voice is so legendary. i love him he shud do all the games

  • @ray93950 it wouldnt be as good if its common. He should save it for orgasmic moments like this and donovans goal.

  • I'm German but I was sooo happy that the US team won that game. :)

  • I'm in love with megan rapinoe :)

  • We all know the only person to dislike this is Marta.

  • Sarah Palin sucks dicks

  • Chills everytime... Really missing the world cup. 365 days to the olympics....

  • Brazil is than better....

  • Stll gives me chills love the USA womens team.

  • abby is a big ol broad.id fuck hope solo in the ass

  • Marta is this one video's "dislike"

  • If this doesn't give you the chills, you're not human and you hate sports.

  • thats a weird looking kitchen.

  • @jjjjorman shutup you could never ever do that in your entire life your probably some 6 year old 125 pound troll.

  • @MrParkour2damax im 180 lb 17 year old with nothing to do.

  • @jjjjorman oh

    ok then

  • @jjjjorman

    jealous

  • This moment is much too great to be forgotten just cause it didn't end with a cup.

  • Oh, and this was with 10 v 11. USA USA USA!

  • for me this is one of my all time favorite sports moments. The others are David Tyree's helmet catch when the NY Giants played the Patriots in the Super Bowl and the third is Mookie Wilson's amazing base hit in Game 6 of the World Series oh so long ago, but not that long....

  • I remember watching this live and i remember not cheering or anything, just sitting there in awe and shocked, i was like 'no way.'

  • amazing!!!

  • Marta disliked this. Yeah SUCK IT BRAZIL

  • Wambach and Donovan should get married, if you catch my drift.

  • @bluedidix I totally agree I get gooses bumps to

  • ESPN hiring Ian Darke to commentate on US Soccer = WIN

  • @benjsmit No, because it proves Americans can't call soccer. Hire Gus Johnson! He could make ant races sound exciting. (But have him train for a year on Premier League matches.)

  • @marquettefootball

I agree, Americans can't call soccer. Ian Darke has been on and off rated as the top English Premeirship commentator, would you prefer the uber-obnoxious latin commentators saying GOOOOOOOOOOOOOALLLLLLLLLLLL, GOAL GOAL GOAL, GOLASO GOLASO GOLASO?? Most non Spanish speaking peeps would prefer the English commentators. I'm assuming here but....

  • @benjsmit Between Darke and Andres Cantor, I'd take Darke anyday. But since ESPN is investing so much into the sport, they should invest enough in sending one of their top American broadcasters to England, learning the game, learning how to call the game there, do Premier League matches on ESPN, and then having them be the U.S. teams' voice.

  • agree, I also dont like it when Latin commentators celebrate a goal even when it was scored agains their own team, more like a fake celebration

  • Great goal, but people always remember Champions

  • lol goalie FAIL

  • This and Landon Donovan's goal against Algeria gives me goosebumps everytime i watch it..

  • suck on that Marta!

  • If Wambach doesn't become a household name, I'm going to be pissed. She deserves it.

  • The most memorable game in the World Cup.

    The miracle at Dresden. :P

  • I've seen this probably at least 200 times and it will never get old. An absolutely awesome moment in American sports.

  • I bet wild turkeys were being passed around like it was Thanksgiving after that stunner of a goal.

  • Julie Foudy is an absolutely horrible announcer. It's just hard to listen to her.

  • all that just to lse the world series. :(

  • @TheVincent98 You mean the World Cup right? lol they aren't playing baseball here

  • @wessuls32 FAIL!

  • hope solo is just so attractive

  • @TheDJskrillex hahaha she's so adorable when she celebrates

  • A decision by the gold medal in Beijing three years ago, the arbitration was extremely damaging to Brazil that ended up unfairly defeated by the Americans, have not seen any comment here about it. It always happens in football and miss the arbitrators favor one team. If Brazil were as dishonest as some here are saying was so lacking in having made a goal Rapinoe and probably would not have happened, so it was done more fouls in the game and would not have lost.

  • the 1 person to dislike this video is a communist

  • They're all amazing. They have so much heart on that team. And I love how Abby was back at kickoff and acted like nothing had happened, she got over her excitement, and was ready to play!

  • Just like Donovan's 2010 World Cup save against Algeria

  • Megan kicks like a bloke.

  • its all thanks to Megan Rapinoe that Abby Wambach got that header ^_^

  • @Puddles98216 I totally agree they aren't giving Megan enough credit it was a great job by both girls!

  • @TheBooster96 I know!! They really need to give Megan more credit. It seems like in every interview the reporter is like "That was a great header!!" well who gave her the cross for that header??? :P

  • @Puddles98216 yeah and the best part is it was a cross with her LEFT foot even tho she is right footed

  • "Can you believe this?!" - Ian Drake

will be remember just like "Do you believe in miracles?!" from 1980

  • @CollegeOfMusic22 To be like 1980 and they have to go on to win the tournament. Otherwise, it won't reach that level. Two more wins to get.

  • @CollegeOfMusic22 Darke did that same call when Landon Donovan scored his goal vs Algeria.

  • @DaKoolA1dMan sort...of....did that one not start with go go USA, can you believe this, certainly through to the 2nd round. Just stunning calls...both of them.. love them.

  • @Unit312J "And Donovan has scored, oh can you believe this, goal goal USA, certainly through! Oh it's incredible!" I just got the chills when I wrote that.

  • @DaKoolA1dMan who is landon donovan?

  • @therockbanddude are u like kidding or serious.

  • @CollegeOfMusic22 Ian Darke. It's Ian Darke :)

  • @CollegeOfMusic22 Uh, no. Great, great moment. But this wasn't an upstart beating the world power of the sport at their own game in the middle of the Cold War. Jim McKay said it best, that the Miracle on Ice was like a Canadian college team beating the Super Bowl champions. This was a great US team beating a great Brazil team. LOVED this moment, but not that big.

  • @CollegeOfMusic22 I don't think this will reach the "Do you believe in miracles?" level ever for a few reasons. A lot of it had to do with the fact that USA with the miracle on ice was a group of college kids who had just been grouped together months prior facing the world's best, including, of course, the Soviets who had smashed teams like the NHL all-stars. USA walked into the women's world cup picked as one of the favorites to win the tourney. I admit a great comeback, but it doesn't compare.

  • @ihodson19 In 1980, we weren't even expected to reach the medal round, but did and beat the greatest hockey team in the world. The miracle on ice was most definitely a miracle and an incredible feat, and, in my opinion and many others, the greatest sports moment of all time.

  • @CollegeOfMusic22

Not just for this goal.... remember Donovan's goal against Algeria?

    watch?v=2V83pv2tiLY&feature=related

Two memorable calls.... gotta love Ian Darke

  • @CollegeOfMusic22 no it won't, because they went and lost in the championship. Already forgotten.

  • @brainwreck1 IF IT ALREADY FORGOTTEN THEN WHY ARE U STILL WATCHN VIDEOS BROOHAHA!

  • @CollegeOfMusic22 lets not get carried away

  • Whatever. USA won against the odds, a formidable opponent and horrible officiating. Enough said.

  • that first half was a joke and a few of the brazil players called her out on it. sure it wasnt anything like the stretcher gamesmanship at the end but diving 10 or so times is a joke. she did not get squashed, there were times where she just fell down.

  • I hope Erika is okay(;

  • great goal but wambach was unbelievable in the first half. diving all over the place, almost as bad as marta. very poor game in truth until the extra time dramatics. usa should have no trouble with france as they are weak in the final third, but they will have to play a lot better to win in the final, assuming they do beat france.

  • @Strikeb4ck thats baloney, she got absolutely squashed and mashed for lack of better words on one of them, there were a few that were light, but in no way can she be compared to the awful dramatics of the brazilians, thats uncomparable!

  • You cant get no bigger then that. tip of the cap to our USA women

  • USA!!!!!!

  • Just goes to show... don't ever give up!!
