  • VERY strong, but she should really try to improve her technique at least to a decent level. Even though it may not help her with her particular sport, it will keep her healthy and save. Also a smoother technique will make her lifting workouts much more enjoyable.

  • very impressive that you have the power to catch that so high but as everyone has stated not the greatest technique, i would say get under the bar!!! itll save your shoulders from catching in that aweful position and avoid unnecessary injuries :) but aside from that U ARE POWERFUL keep it up

  • just two things: one you have to be able to lift the weight up because you're supposed to start this lift below the knees (hence *hang* clean). second im pretty sure you used like a pelvic thrusting motion to get the weight up and simply ducked and ran under.

  • @kylesteinhauser she was doing the specific exercise of clean from the hang position. She got help with the deadlift to save energy for the specific lift she was attempting. It's not that she couldn't deadlift the weight, it's that she wanted to save energy for the specific lift she was maxing out on. Understand? Lot's of times lifters do this lift from blocks but as you see she didn't have those. She was not attempting a deadlift+clean from hang, just clean from hang. Understand?

  • That's kind of cool, but probably fake because it didn't appear she was straining very much prior to the movement. Very few women have the grip strength, and especially skinny women, to hold, much less clean 105 kilo's.

  • she probably lacks the flexibility to deadlift this weight from the ground, keep in mind she's a long jumper....the only reason she's doing this is to work on exploding through her hips, in her sport there is no need to be able to deadlift this kind of weight.

The same as when a spotter will pass you the bar on the bench instead of you lifting it off yourself.. alot of energy is used...

  • Yeah, hard to see I know but there are 20kg discs (blue), 10 kg discs (green - kind of blend in with blue) and 15kg discs (yellow) = 90kg plus the bar which is a women's 15kg bar =105kg. Should have put the 10kgs on the outside!
