@musicsgoodforyou don't listen to him, the vst he used to make that effect is called 'grossbeat' or 'dblueglitch' they are fx VSTs and the reason why you see them cued up is by an automation. The purple and blue bars you see are automation clips. djmussy's explanation is nowhere near what this is.

Notice in the video, on the top left side of the screen its says track 1 track 2 what not, thats all the cues he cut and paste from other songs. Its pretty creative and effective, and enables you to make a unique beat...

@djmussy18 you have no idea what you're talking about. Those 'tracks' simply indicate the pattern that he is using and the "scratch fx" is called an AUTOMATION CLIP.
