Also, if you ever taken a legit economics class, you'd know that socialism always fails. When the government runs out of money to give to the people (keep in mind that there is no productivity because government takes 50% of what you make and gives it to others who do nothing), people riot in the streets and protest. Also, if you ever taken a legit economics class, you'd know that socialism always fails. When the government runs out of money to give to the people (keep in mind that there is no productivity because government takes 50% of what you make and gives it to others who do nothing), people riot in the streets and protest. That right there, creates a gateway to communism. A communist leader will say that he will give the people money. That buys them power and that's how a new Hitler regime starts.

Of course you do, how is that working out, welfare, section 8, more money for more babies...have you been to the ghetto, the projects, gotten hands dirty and helped the homeless? Considering that the Republicans had control of Congress and the Senate during the 90's, and then control of the Senate, Congress and the White House under Bush I would say they did a piss poor job of governing the nation.
Maybe if they would get their minds off of abortion, flag burning and gays they could accomplish something in the country.
Where was this great idea they had about healthcare considering we heard nothing about it for the 12 years they had control?

It is also perfectly reasonable to realize the benefits that come from a free market while also believing certain industries (like health insurance) would benefit from being nationalized, and certain "socialist" policies like progressive taxation and social welfare are beneficial.
