  • with 2,1 sound sistem this video has bettter sound

  • This is a DE diesel electric or DH Diesel hidraulic machine?

  • @kdlehel V 320 001 is a twin engine, twin gearbox hydraulic machine. Both diesels (MB 839) and transmissions (Voith L 218 rv) are identic. Every single drive train runs one bogie independently. The components (engines & gearboxes) are also used in single engined locos like the german Classes 215 (225), 216, 217.

  • @Dokker62 and 218, 219?

  • @derneuschooer Thanks for your friendly comments! Bundesbahn BR'n 218 & 219 001-5 are quite similar to other V 160-family members but they use(d) lightly different components, mainly MTU MA 12 V 956 TB 10/11 engines or nowadays the 16 V 4000-series and Voith L 820 transmissions. Some locos are (were) fitted with MTU K 252 gearboxes and Caterpillar 3516 diesels, others with the legendary Pielstick 16 PA 4 V 200s until the mid 1990s. 219 001-5 ran a Maybach MD 870 in her early days.

  • @Dokker62 ah i see there´re lots of differents between the versions, well thats very interesting, i would like to become more familar with those locomotive families around 215-219, i searched in the internet especially for technical drawings but there is not much to find..:-(

  • @derneuschooer That's true unfortunately, but there will be a compilation of DB driver manuals for 210 (218.9) and 215 (225)- 218 diesels available soon as pdf on CD including blueprints of interior electrics, pneumatics and about the engines. Further on there will be information about the auxillary gas turbine boosters used in class 210 until 1978. Just send me a message for more details. Btw.: We could use german I think. You seem to be a "Nordlicht" like me...Neuschoo...Not far away...

  • Auf dieses Video antworten... nice engines! you simply must love em! the sound! the power, i wish i dicided to become a train driver but, well ehm my abitur made me studying business informatics -.- lol

i like your way how to cook your meal^^ nice idea to put em on the engine *lough*.

  • i belive to is 4 stroke engines are no?

  • You´re right. The Mercedes- Benz MB 839 is a four- stroke Turbo- Diesel. The only two- stroke engines which are actually in use in Germany work inside the british Class 66/ 77- Locos.

  • oh grate is my favorite too from now on. I love the 4 stroke master machines like this. Its an unikat locomotive and is avesome. Nice movie thaks for share to see the wold to exist this kind of masterpiece. Thanks you. Rating five stars thanks again.

  • Thank you for your friendly comment. If you like V 320 001 watch out also for the fine outside videos by "VT92501".

  • Looks like the crew is warming lunch on the exhaust.

  • That´s right. Delicious canned ravioli heated by a roaring diesels cylinder head late at night. What could be better ? Yummy !!! :-)))

  • Hydraulic power is i think the best on offer ! 5*s

  • are the engines the md870 ?

  • No, they are Mercedes- Benz MB 839´s (nowadays called MTU MB 16 V 652 TB/ TY). German Diesels 215, 216 and 217 are (were) fitted with these 16 piston engines of 1900 hp each. They Maybach MD 870 (MTU MD 16 V 538 TB) was only used in just a few 216´s (V 160) in the early days. It´s still installed in V 160 006 in Reggio/ Emilia, Italy. V 320 001 is the only Loco still in use in Germany without silencers (mufflers). Her sound at full throttle is just amazing.

  • die erbsen sind nachher auch geschüttelt, oder gerührt ,-)

  • geiler sound total cool

  • Ja, finde ich auch ! Diese Maschine lässt wirklich niemanden kalt. Schon die Videos von "VT92501" gesehen ? :-)
