Some guy that saw it was interviewed on the news and said he wanted to smash his TV in because of this ... what a dolt. This was the best pirate video to date. I doubt this guy was very old. He's probably in his 50's now, most likely early 50's. Hope he confesses before he passes on.

Omnignosis...why would it be Rich Koz? If he had any beef back in those days, it was with WFLD-TV 32, not WGN. Hell, Rich was a fill-in radio DJ for WGN after News Corp bought WFLD and cancelled 'Son of Svengoolie'. I highly doubt he would attack the station that was employing him. Now, if the pirating broadcast interrupted WFLD programming, then maybe, but Koz wouldn't have pirated WGN.
It was more than likely a disgruntled ex-WGN employee as he seems to make mocking comments to both Chuck Swirsky (a WGN employee) as well as to the superstation itself. To interrupt WGN's signal not only took serious know-how but serious equipment as well.
If I could meet five people dead or alive, the dude who managed to pull this off would have to be among them. The broadcast media could really use another scare like this one to stir up a little chaos and deflate a few egos. Still it would be hilarious if this guy randomly decided to come out one day and reveal his identity like Deepthroat or the BTK Killer...
@InfamousShad When I first saw this, I couldn't sleep that night. There's really nothing scary about it at all. It's just a very bizarre transmission. Nothing he says makes any sense.
