was this quest scrapped or changed greatly... I mean there is that one quest in the beginning with rescuing a child in chillbreath cave but that was completely different. Not as many wolves--pretty easy combat for low level players at that point. The powers here are well upgraded--not close to the max but maybe past the 2nd or 3rd level in road to rule--for rifle and sword at least+spell weave. I wish this was the actual mission but I don't think it was included in the final game.

i have been playing fable 3 for 7 hours, and, sadly, as far as i can tell the moves you are seeing on this video are not possible in any sense that could be deliberately coordinated. you have to scroll up and down to change battle types, and there is about 1 second of lag for doing so, making sure that you could in no way cast a fireball and then quickly shoot someone with the other hand, then go back to fireball. you might do it on accident now and again.

I'm not sure why but the combat reminds me of Arkham Asylum's freeflow combat not saying thats a bad thing though because I loved AA's combat system and Fable III seems like that but with a twist on it. (Getting an XBOX 360 Slim today :p Yay I can finally play this game, Buying he XBOX pretty much because of this game).

I'm sure they are: finishers or counters but I'm not quite sure.

I remember playing Fable 2 and performing a well timed combo attack (blue streaks) and then it'll do a cinematic of me killing the enemy.

But, for some reason, I cannot perform things that what I've mentioned above in Fable 3.

@JinxG3 they are finishers, the downside is that they made them randomly. they come more often the higher your melee/ranged combat is, I do not know if there are any magic finishers but I had plenty of the normal ones.

That scripted event near the end I felt didn't blend into player action, 0:54. A bit too cinematic-y for my tastes.

It's looking like we're going to have a silent protagonist YET AGAIN. Fuck. That shit works well in 1st person when I'm already projecting myself onto the character but it just doesn't translate well into the third person.

Molyneux, I like your games, really I do, but the combat always seems too static, and Fable 2's action didn't really have the same flow that Arkham Asylum does

If the characters are obnoxious in games like Bayonetta, then the game becomes more enjoyable when you mute all sound entirely. I've been playing Fable 3 for roughly six hours straight, and it is an overall pleasant experience. There are certainly a number of things to criticize if I took the time to expand.

They arn't all going to attack the kid and let you shit on them. And btw you only get attacked by 1 guard at a time in AC, so in that way the combat system in AC and Fable are somewhat similar.

the attacks are slightly slower but it has more of a realistic feel to it, at least the other wolves waited till he was done with 2-3, very realistic, love the graphics, very good work

The wolfs are looking more like kind of straying dogs or so. Anyway the graphic looks really nice until now. Maybe the game's good. Even if I don't think it will be better than Fable 1. After just one year of work it can't be as good as the first one.
