I don't think she was saying that Obama is inadequate because he was black, but that she felt he was just inadequate. I think she mentioned his ethnicity to contrast with when she said "had she been a white woman". I think it was to emphasize her point. I think she was saying Obama was some how enabled to run for president because someone didn't want to see Hillary, a woman, win.
