@joewalch the patch ALGO 6 all sines op1 level 99 op2, op3 level 99 op4 level 77 feedback osc 4: 7 ratio op 1, 2 3 1.00 ratio op 4 1,00 for saw, 2,00 for square envelope is just on and off without any release
for the fat one, i just went in performance mode, all stacked on the same channel and detuned +2-2+4-4+6-4 plus IIRC one octave up and one octave down

i actually find it kind of sad that people still use thousands of dollars in analog music equipment just to make the same types of music that fruityloops type programs can (and do) just as well
kind of like watching lil john in the studio , equipment making up for talent and same 'ol stuff over and over "YEAAAH!!!" b ready bitches...
DX200 is no joke. Clearly Yamaha's most sonically powerful FM synth considering it also has VA circuitry. The world needs more live preformers like you, great sound.
@Ravenpulse really possible, the fm operators are so perfect that the detuning causes phase cancelation that is totally steady, no movement at all in the notches but that's the best the TX81z can do, so i setled with it
As far as i hear there is no clean 81Z sound at all, it's going throw that filter. IMHO that 81Z bass which was dry in the beginning of that another clip was NICE. Clip i mean was that SAW bass tutorial.. . .
haha i get ya man 2 minutes = half hour haha jks man i know when i make a track an i spent 2 hours on it and my mate criticizes it, im like, "dude its ok considering i only spent like half hour on it" haha jkin man if you wanna hear what i just finished its on my channel i use software tho....sold my powercore and blofeld :( regretting it BIG TIME! :( sounds in this are mad
Why not a TX-816 or 2 into 2 DMP-11 mixers linked by the Yammy digital link into a FMC-1 format converter to output SPDIF? USE a MEP-4 to resend notes an octave lower and get 32 notes for every one you play.
This is phatt!!! Nice work! I've been looking for the classic George Duke TX816 EP with 8-layers and detuned....I haven an FM8 and can import the SyX. Do you happen to have that patch!
unfortunately not, i wiped the whole 16 editable sound in the I bank to make my own, same for the combis, so if i ever had it, it's gone as the tx is my bassline only machine
thnaks for watching and taking the time to comment
Good performance. I want your equipment man! Analog is where it is at, nothing like the feel of real knobs!!!! I always say, "Look at the knobs on that one!" Nice topknot too, I'm rocking one right now!

check the description for link to file: the simple saw (sampled every C from C-1 to C8, lots of aliasing in the upper range) and the "supersaw" sampled every C AND G again from C-1 to G8) its a direct out from the tx, bypassing all fx, so the overall volume is low, about -16, but it's a really weak out synth compared to say a jx3p or something from those years, so anyway i didnt touch it besides trimming, no normalizing, no pseudo-mastering, just raw capture from (sorry) my MBP built in input

i agree with funkulankula that it could be better if the structure was edited/perfected. it is already very cool though. the bass is obviously the best thing about it, but the filtering towards the end that almost sounds like talking is rad too. i would like to see what kind of stuff you could come up with if you did more experimental things instead of just 4 on the floor kick dance music though. anyways one other thing that is cool is that you do things live, the pros seem to just pretend.
