they was a good band but i think they didn't last because the singer is just a miserable sod...he lacks charm like he needs to be more like matt bellamy from muse.. i never liked the lead singer of JJ72 i love the bassist though ; )
just love the album so much, didnt listen in years until i was putting it on my ipod & it started to rekindle old happy thoughts.Would so so love a comeback special.
i remember buying there first album and trying to convince everybody i knew how good they were but nobody was having it. i think in a selfish way i liked that because i think theres nothing better than liking a band that nobody else has really heard of, its something thats just yours you know.
Erickd87 - When this came (2000) out both JJ72 and Muse were touted as the next big things (next Blur v Oasis if you like, but still relatively unheard bands), played the Uni circuit with a fair bit of success etc. Both had great first albums. They both went off the boil a bit, then almost from nowhere Muse release Origin of Symmetry which gets serious airplay, JJ72 have some changes of personnel, and it all goes a bit wrong for them Such a shame. Really, really good band, and stunning live!
Also a lot of record company politics stopped their 3rd album getting released. Such a shame. I must have seen them live 5-6 times and every gig was superb.
im was a massive hope of the states and jj72 fan and those 2 names are burnt 2 my heart and will so the rest of my life and im sure im not alone brillant song!
Shit. I remember seeing this on TOTP when I was really young and getting hooked on the band since. They're so underrated it's not even funny. Looking at this now, I think Mark got a bit carried away with his vocals, even for a track like snow.
Should've been bigger than what they were. Awesome band.
