  • the ship on the google earth photograph is not the berge stahl. just tahe a look to the bridge wings, on the syahl the are'nt reaching the ship's side.

  • you can built 3 Nimitz (CV) using metal that use to build Berge Stahl

  • 0:23 is that a model cause it looks pretty small.

  • fantastic size!

  • its not the biggest ship ever built?why don't you try to figure out which is the bigger one?how about the knock nevis?former jahre viking also known as the sleeping giant!!it has a DWT of 500,000 DWT.how can you say that berge stahl is the biggest ship ever....think of it...

  • It ´s the biggest BULK CARRIER SHIP ,god dammed !!!!,not the biggest ship ever made.

Bulk Carrier : Ship class with cargo holds in whole open space ,to carry grain ,bale ,pellet ,powder ,wood ,timber ,steel ,etc .or any kind of cargo except : liquid , gas or oil

  • @junnelarandia and...who said it was? its the biggest bulk carrier

  • @junnelarandia: its the same vssl!

  • i dont understand the picture @ 0.22 !!

the ship seems very small in that picture, it looks as if there is grass in front of the dry dock. its lookes about 2 or 3 meters high in that szene.

    mysterious

  • it may be a forest? :D

  • yes, the photographer was standing on the edge of the dry dock basin. The ship is hundreds of feet away and the lip in front is the edge of a hundred-plus foot drop down to the bottom.

It does look like a big model when you see it at first.

  • built in 1986 ? So its a peace of JUNK

  • not really it does the job most ships last 30 to 40 years the ships in most navies are older than this take a look at USS Enterprise 1961 or some of the older burkes 1980 even down to some of thier submarines 1970's so this is average age ship, still runs into rotterdam frequently.

  • believe me - I work as a welder in shipyard and every carbon plate after 15, 20 years is a junk. The plate in some places is so thin that you are able to knock it out by kicking it. Ofcourse you can reapir and replace it to the end of a world but still such ship is a junk. The most important is what you dont see - always. Go inside to the worst places - bottom tanks etc.

  • Very true but most ships service life averages 30 years i was on a cruise ship in 2004 she was built in 1954 still in service today was origionaly a reefer till it was rebuilt as a cruise ship yeah ok it was a state !

  • you just confirmed what I said - you can repair and replace it to the end of a world, otherwise repair shipyards wouldnt exists - only these who products new units.

  • the photo from google earth is not berge stahl

  • what were those coordinates on the google earth pic?

  • Actually a bulk carrier would only carry the same thing or switch to carrying similar things. Not exactly anything.

  • What does she carry? Iron ore??

  • id imagine anything to pay for that big bitch lol

  • Not a ship expert by any means but from what i've read she carries mostly iron ore, i actually saw her at Dampier in NW Oz just outside Karratha so impressive to see up close she left almost fully loaded had about 22/23metres under the water!

  • yep, only IRON ORE from a brazilian company called VALE

  • I saw that Bad boy in Port on the weekend, Unreal!!

  • Knock Nevis doesn't sail anymore...

  • no? :( .........shit!

  • Knock Nevis doesn't sail anymore, she served as a floating ship storage at this time!

  • Does anyone know the name of this song?

  • the knock nevis is longer

  • 00:06 its not berge stahl

  • she is a big one
