OMG are you serious? The media actually said that. Woooooow, lame. They have no idea what they are talking about. It's a mental disorder caused from abuse, in the form of being excessively valued and/or spoiled and from being excessively under valued (emotional, mental and physical abuse are very probable also). In either case, the child creates an ideal image of themselves to hide the shameful, imperfect true self. They do this to gain approval from their parents and avoid being rejected.
Focus on solutions, not problems? Yeah right, because it is the media's job to solve our problem for us?
The media should be focusing on problems, that is what they are there for, that is there f'ing purpose. You don't like it go watch some Doctor Phil, he has plenty of solutions for you.
Sorry to come out swinging, I am sure you are a nice guy but in this video you come off way to sure of your point. When you are, in fact, quite mistaken.
I'd agree with what you say there about the media and their trivial pursuits. All in the aid of distracting the masses I suppose. I don't think that people with hundreds of friends on Facebook are narcissists tbh, I'd say they're quite the opposite in fact. They probably have no friends in real life and feel the need to fill in this void by adding everyone and anyone that they would probably never speak to or see/hear of in real life. It's pretty sad.
