Too bad they couldn't get the terminology right...in the fencing clip they were using epees, not foils (different weapon)....and NO scoring box sounds like that....'course, the high pitched squeal most boxes use wouldn't come across very well. The price for the epee was about right, tho.

If you're trying to be offensive....don't worry, you failed. Fencing is my business, so I tend to look for things like this. I've also done some work in the film industry, and accuracy has never been a hallmark of Hollywood. It's just mildly irritating when the production company doesn't do proper research.

And anyway, homfencing is right. While no one else may care, don't you think it may just be the slightest bit annoying to real fencers to see our sport butchered? I'm very happy to see fencing in such a big commercial, if anything, so the general public can see it. Because while in my opinion that was terrible fencing, they wouldn't be smart enough to know the difference, and it could help our sport.
