well, autism was poorly understood and not even recognized as an offical neurolgical problem until the mid 70s when President Carter gave it an official status.But no one ever mentions that 8 out of 10 kids with autism are boys, so that throws the vaccine question out the window, unless girls have super powers against the so called ill effects of getting shots.

I was at the March and Rally and it was a wonderful turnout. I just wanted to make a comment that it ISNT "Anti-Vaccine" it's "Anti-Toxins" in our Vaccines.. theres a big difference. But thanks for being there with the rest of us!

In 1983 Autism was 1/10000 with 10 vaccinations given to children over time. In 2006 Autism was 1/150 with 36 vaccinations given to children over time, most by age 2. The amount of mercury in vaccines is considered a lethal dosage to an adult, according to FDA guidelines.

Fact: The CDC lied about the removal of thermisol in vaccines. Today's vaccines still contain lethal dosages.

Fact: Vaccines are the only administered drugs in the USA that have never been tested on humans OR animals.

The increased incidence of Autism over time is a result of better diagnostic criteria and improved screening.

Basically, as people found out more about the disease, more cases were being diagnosed that would have gone unnoticed.

But one more thing....As a mom with a kid whose got REAL autism Im amazed at how many self diagnosed autistics are out there announcing that they too, are autistic despite the fact that they are married, drive cars and hold down jobs.I meet people like this all the time and Im getting annoyed by it.

I guess it depends on how you want to diagnose autism.The traditional assumption is that they can barely speak and are totally out of touch with reality. If people who can read, write, speak, drive cars and function independently want to be considered autistic I guess thats cool. But then we need a new term for the mute kid who screams, rocks,plays with his poop and punches himself in the face all day.Which describes my son and most of his classmates.

...and parents want help....they know that autism is the new hot button word when it comes to special services and the fastest way to get attention is to say "autim". And thats not me talking,thats the teachers at my sons school who introduce me to students that are really no more than slightly immature for their age.

The correlative measure you are using is not valid and does not translate into cause/effect.

One can just as easily say, the the number of hours watching television increased from '83-'08, so has the Rate of Autism. (this point is invalid)

Please be careful when using statistics and numbers, because they can pretty much be used to say anything.

Yes, statistics can be misleading, but to suggest as you have, that in 1983, 1 in 150 kids were autistic is just ignorant. Even the CDC has acknowledged that autism is growing at a staggering rate. The CDC has also concluded that the rise is attributed to an environmental trigger, at that point they shrug and say *idunno*, but let's see, what's poisonous, and affects developmental brain functions? Hmmmm. Yeah, its the TV*rolleyes* One day, it will affect someone you love, guaranteed.

Autism is a multifactorial disorder with a strong genetic predisposition. And I agree the prevalence is increasing. But by narrowing one's sights at a singular cause, other important factors, that may be more significant, are ignored.

The current focus on anti-vaccination or delayed vaccination may be causing undue harm especially to children. I am just urging caution before setting one's sights on a singular culprit.

Vaccines aren't a singular cause, for starters, they include mercury, anti-freeze, aluminum sulfate, and imbalming fluid. All of those are poisonious and while they've increased the vaccination schedule from 10 to 36 since 1983, nobody has done any testing on the increases in the amount of each of those poisons on infants.

In short, The vaccinations themselves are more likely than any other culprit to be doing undue harm. Don't stop them, just remove the posions, and spread them out some.

Parents must refuse vaccines because of their highly toxic nature, as you correctly point out. However, if you take all the poisons out of vaccines, there is no vaccine left. Vaccines don not prevent ill-health, the CAUSE ill-health!

Oh yeah, it wasn't an antivaccine rally, so when Dr. Jay Gordon in his speech asks (on another video), "Does this mean we are antivaccine?" It sounded like three people yelled, "NO!" The antivaxers that made up the majority of the march know they are antivaccine. But if one of their dimwit speakers made some statement made about how dangerous vaccines are most of the crowd would scream and applaud approval.

The rally I attended on June 4th was anything but an anti-vaccine rally and I am certainly not anti-vaccine. As the parent of 2 autism recovered children, I want to see the mercury, aluminum, aborted fetal tissue, and other toxins removed from the schedule. I also want to see the shots spread out. There was absolutely NOT an anti-vaccine message presented at this rally.
