I've lived in parkchester for 10 years so far, and brooklyn for 3 years.. and i've seen more crime and drugs in the 3 years in brooklyn then i've witnessed in 10 years in Parkchester. I'm not stupid... the city appartments are very messy and i've been around parkchester... everything's the same... no change... upstate NY is much better because it's by the mountains and it feels clean... unlike typical NYC... even though I like visiting the city... I would never consider living down there again!!

I agree, it's one of the better neighborhoods in the Bronx (not the best though) but not this fairytale they've portrayed here. I lived on Elder and used to come to the Zaros bakery and Macys all the time afer school. It was fun.
