i agree let the longboard do what it is meant to do, generate its own speed and glide. though there is no doubt this is a very talented surfer though and if this is the way he likes to surf more power to him.

Certainly true. These guys are superbly talented. It is simply my opinion that this style of longboard surfing is not as asthetically pleasing as with the heavier boards and/or moves.
