  • Amazing sound. Fly carefully.

  • Who needs Drones!!! WOW!!

  • That may be one of the sweetest sounds extant. It represents engineering far beyond the time.

Wonderful! I could listen to that all day.

  • lol, It takes off in 1 foot! Cool Corsair.

  • that is the coolest sounding rc vehicle EVER i have watched this vid over 50 times i bet

  • Enginenssound just rocks

  • Great plane......different style of landing lol.

  • Wish I was a rich kid too.

  • gotta have one!

  • Nicely done!

  • No chicken stick for this guy...who needs fingers anyway...lol

  • All it really needs is a Solo GAP 3 blade propeller! Nice Work!

  • Totally bitchen!!!

  • Great flying and sounding plane! It's obviously very light. It looks great for being so light.

  • Very nice plane, I think one of the most beautiful of all the fighters, and the engine sound is impressive. Mine is such a pure electric. Beautiful.

  • Very nice plane! but... put a triple prop please!!!!

  • my lord that is amazing. How fast does it go?

  • yup thats a moki radial all right

  • Thats 1 beautiful plane.

  • Wow.....

  • cool plane

needs a 3 blade prop tho

  • nice plane and airfield

  • Sweet ! Sounded so real on take off -- power plus.

  • 5 cyl moki???

nice plane, nice machine, nice flight

  • God that sounds good for a model!!!!

  • I need a pit bitchTOO!

  • How good was that !! bloody beautiful sound ....

  • So perfect. Well done!! Sad about the wind noise.

  • i fly there!

  • hell yea this thing is sweet, sounds like something that could run mini nascar if used incorrectly hahaha

  • That sounds real!

  • That sounds lovely. Someone should really do a mustang or spit with a model v12!

  • That sounds freakin awesome.

  • In a word ..... "STUNNING" ... no other word for it really!

  • That sounds great

  • I would like to see more specifications on the airplane and engine.

  • how many cylinders is this? Sounds like it'll make a good lawn mower motor lol

  • @6V92TA it's a moki , probably 150 for around $3500 :) expensive lawnmover.....

  • @barackuda But we all know that a lawnmower that sounds like this is worth every penny......

  • superb! the model of my dreams !!

beautifully build and painted and perfect motor .. whats the brand of the radial motor?

    sound is awsome!

    congratulations!

  • that must be luckiest dummy pilot of the RC world.

  • badass!

  • That thing is just sick! Love the sound and looks. Gonna have to go fix my F4U now. LOL!

  • I had to pop in and look again - damn nice engine and what a marvelous sound of the radial engine - I just love that sound ...

  • Damn puts my parkzone corsair to shame.

  • Keep as much fantastic flying machine, love the sound. how big is your engine and what muffler do you have installed.

    Greetings Mogens

  • How fast was that? Looks >150...

  • Yes F4-U corsair has low landing speed

Especially It is because landing up the wind and the flaps is on too!!

    I have Parkzone F4U.

  • lol this is a whole different ballgame than a parkzone corsair

  • I think I just jizzed in my pants! ; P

  • man hate to crash that beauty

  • @Senteinal117

There's always one who uses the "C" word. Sheessh.

  • @zipperneck1321 ha i know its hard to think about

  • Wow, great plane.

  • Very nice sound. So incredible realistic. A 3 blade is even nicer. Take care bye.

  • IMHO This is the Ultimate Plane, scale, motor. This is the exact setup I have dreamed of having since 1974. If ever this plane needs a loving home please let me know.

  • Wow. Kills my little parkzone F4U (although i still love it).

    Great Flight!

  • the sound is so real. beautiful scenery too.

  • fantastic, what a great sound!!

  • Beautiful job.

  • That plane has a very low stall speed. That landing was incredible in how slow you were able to fly. I love the flaps on it.

  • Dude, with a engine that sweet, how can you have a two blade prop on it? I highly encourage you to get a 3 blade!

  • So smooth

  • The Best Model i've seen !

  • Engine sounds like the real thing. IMpressive.

  • very cool - can anyone tell me @ how much $ is in a model of this sort?

  • about £5000.00 about $8500.00.

  • Love the sound of the engine

  • Wow that came in slow! Impressed. Want one :)

  • the plane is from a meister plan.

  • Engine sounds awesome!

  • Great airplane, wonderful sounds. I fly mainly four strokers in my scale birds except for a few of my large gassers. For the sound nothing comes close to a four stroke multi-cylinder motor. It is sort of like riding a Harley Davidson.

  • if not for the slightly high pitch engine noise, i would have sworn that was the real thing on some of those low passes. smooth flying my friend. bravo on the model as well!

  • Love that model .. a great piece of flying as well .. nice job

  • Is that a moki 150?

Also thought corsair had 3 blade props?

  • Started with three blades then went to 4 on later models.

  • Yes it is a 150, I know the props wrong but this prop gives me the best power and once is going round no one knows.

  • Kennyboy and Johnmason outstanding girl. Came in the game late for info on product could you tell me where and who to reach for the plans and to find the power plant on that warbird. thnaks Bob

  • that guy needs some benalyn lol

  • almost to realistic sounding...love it

  • Love the sound... Is that a 5 cyl?

  • Very nice. I am having a Byron Corsair made, but the cowl is .5" too small for the radial. Bummer. The DA-50 single will have to do.

  • great sound but...corsair,corsair,corsair,p-51- p-51 p-51....

  • very beautiful sounding, yet expensive investment! great video.

  • all it still needs is a 4 bladed prop, then it'll be PERFECT!!

  • moritzrr betrays his piston envy! Why else would he come up with such an utterly lame comment ?

  • nice old war bird the japanees called them wispering death in ww2

  • Whistling Death not wispering death

  • Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful sounding radial!!!

  • Thats really nice and I love the sound of that radial engine

  • hey moritzrr, get a brain. this beats the crap out of ANY electric, or any other "toy" you can think of. this thing is THE REAL DEAL, but i don't think you're bright enough to understand that. funny, i dont recall any electric powered aircraft in wwII, or any REAL plane... putz...

  • Awesome vid, Beautiful Corsair!

  • Radial engine is $4000+ your better off just getting a four stroke for 200-250USD!!!

  • besides for that size of a plane its a bit "overpower" lol

  • Only if you cant afford it.

  • yeah thats true!! Still that plane is way to small for a radial engine.

  • I dont know where you got that info from. This is my aircraft and that engine is desinged for that size model. This engine is 150cc and gives the same power of an 80cc single cylinder.

  • Nice model and engine!

  • Wow.... that looks like lots of fun and that is a really nice plane. How much flight time can you get?

  • that hog's got some juice!

  • I wish they made radial engines when I was flying my Corsair. This is awesome. The closest we could get to a radial in the late 70s was a Wankel rotary. I know, not even lose, but it was a flush mount engine. I ran a OS Max Schnerle 80 in my planes, also had a P51B

  • That was just "PLANE" awesome, ha, ha, ha !!! I think it would look better with a 3-blade prop though. I can't believe how fast that bad boy took off, Sweet!

  • belissimo modelo que potencia de motor parabens

  • NOW THAT! LOOKS LIKE FUN.

  • Beautiful plane!!!

  • Beautiful!

  • 2:15...carrier takeoff!

  • sweet.

  • WOW!!!!!!! what an awesome plane!!!

  • I didn't realize Moki made radials... Absolutly fantastic sounding engine.

  • i wish my transmitter talked to me :-/

  • What engine do you use?

  • Hello ljfheelo, the engine in this aircraft is a Moki 150cc Petrol Fourstroke 5 cylinder. We have a 250cc version of this engine going into a Seafury.

  • Ok, I c. That's really cool! Thanks for sharing.

  • 5 stars on all accounts!!!

  • As a former USCG. aviation machinest mate 3d who was qaul,d. to do engine runups in HU16e Albatross,s with R1800s I can tell ya this lil, birds engine sounds are outta site ! She only needs a 3 blade prop and she,d give a lil, better flight performance. I love the smell of R.C. fuel burnin, in the mornin, sun ! Is this one of the German built scale radials ?

  • Ese motor y su ruido me matan ...!

  • looks and sounds very much like a Multi 5 cyl radial .. very powerful engine .. like during the entire sequence i think the fastest rpms it got was the run up before take off .. beautifull model .. nice job ..

  • Wow... that is one beautiful r/c plane... just don't crash it, please heheh

  • What a sweet looking and sounding r/c plane mate, that is so wicked man i just love the corsair and that has to be one of the best i have seen on youtube so far mate,5*

  • I fly 4strokes, They sound much better than 2strokes BUT radials make me cream my pants.....

  • The sound of that radial's got my grinner going.

  • I guess only radials allow that scale, true to life sound on rc models ...

  • The radial sure sounds nice.

  • that thing got a HEMI???? ha ha....

  • a what?

  • its a famous American V8 auto engine. Fantastic Corsair and engine combo by the way!

  • one word.... AWESOME!!!!

  • Mouth hanging open, best sounding r/c plane I've ever heard. I've been flyin' only electrics lately, but this has inspired me to fire up my Sig Kadet Senior with Saito F-56 Golden Knight. That radial gets the juices flowing from it's awesome realism wow !!

  • wow thats amazing!

it looks and sounds like the real thing!

all you need now is lots ofthem with folding wings on a scale aircarf carrier in the atlcantic!

    wow that would be awsome!

Good vid and flying five star!

  • hey blowglassslide id really like to scracth build a 1/3 scale corsair with moving canopy and get really into the detail...thats why i would like a radial ...any comments or tips would greatly be apreciated...thanks

  • BTW....is there a build thread of this on rcscalebuilder? I'd love to read all the pages. I did a quick search, but cant tell for sure.

    User name?

    Nick Ziroli plans?

  • Thats awesome. The sound of that radial completes the model.!! Well Done.!!

I can feel my bank account taking a pretty good hit after watching this.!!!

  • kennyboy1215 great corsair! im actually looking into getting a kit where did u find teh engine?

  • Hey Flightsimace, I can help out with that! Depending on what scale you want to build for, there are radials available from Saito engines, O.S., and, if you want to get really expensive, Technopower. Just google any of those names and you should get websites. Hope that helps! Good luck on your build!

  • Hi,

Is this the same Corsair that was flying at the Hop Farm this weekend?

  • yes it is, flown by John Mason.

  • Well done.

  • OMG man that slow flyby at 5:95 is so real in looks and sound the hair stood up! Fantastic isn't it!?

  • Tail high just like the real thing and outstanding cinematography!

I like to imagine that perhaps pilots of these old warbirds who've gone on might be able to fit their spirits inside these beautiful examples and fly them for fun. It's a nice thought to me anyway. I hope it's true.

  • imagine the line for ghosts? how do they stop others from cutting in front of them? i imagine if they died in one, they might not be too keen to get back in. its an awesome thought i think.

  • Officers and Gentlemen, all. There's your answer.

Also, I would think they'd relish the chance to go back and do it again only this time, no crashing and burning. Yippee!

  • Gorgeous. I'm having a near-religious experience here.

  • I'll bet I've watched this video a hundred times! Just can't get enough, I love that plane! She obviously has plenty of power to spare and the slow fly by's are beautiful! I could sit and listen to her idle all day long. Very nice sound. I built the old Top Flight corsair kit many years ago. It turned out very nice and flew very well and it would have been awsome with a radial, but I used a Super tiger .75 for power. Anyway, great piloting John! My hats off to everyone involved in the video:)

  • thanks for your kind comments!

  • Great plane nice flying!

  • What a great video. Beautiful plane, great flight, excellent camera work, simply grand. Is the power/wt ratio in this model similar to the real thing in scale? just lept off the ground. Thanks again for posting this : )

  • Thanks for appreciating it and your kind comments.

    Ken

  • sounds superb, puts my electric to shame, may be one day lol

  • Excelent but I think you need to work in nozzles, because sound like a little motorcycle.

  • geez! the best sounding RC f4u i've ever seen. nice!

  • sweet plane with a wicked sounding radial

  • is that the one that was at wings and wheels last week?

  • Yes i flew this Corsair and the JU88 at Wings and wheels last week.

  • Muito Bom... este motor é 10... Parabéns.

  • that engine sound is a song to my ears :) sweeeeeeeet. Nice plane very beautiful.

  • I love the way that radial powered through that GIANT loop! Beautiful build! Thanks for sharing.

  • Nice plane, nice engine, nice flight .... Hope you'll enjoy it !!!!!

  • Are you going to wring that thing out???

  • gee, rolled out after 3-feet....

    That needs more power!....

  • Very nice John, and nice flying! I hope that Spit you Just flogged me flys as good as that!

OOOOHHH! that prop!! the words "chicken stick" springs to mind!

    Nice one!

  • Thats why i get Nigel to start it for me. This engine just has too much compression to use a chicken stick. The other problem with chicken sticks is they can damage the prop over time.

  • hi , nice plane , im building 1 now and im wondering whats the kit ,motor and engine size, thx a lot

  • Hello, this Corsair was built from a plan and is not available as a kit. The engine is a Moki 150cc four stroke petrol radial.

  • Darned nice! Who makes this Corsair kit?

  • This is a scratch built plan from plans. The plans are from Nick Zeroli.

  • no its not! Its a Meister

  • what is the wingspan and isn't that saito 325? i didnt know moki has a 150 cc radial?

  • The span is 100" and it is a moki. See stuart Mackay website for details

  • Wow, fanbloodytastic.I love the sound of that radial.very good flying.

    Thanks.

  • nice sound!!
