@redrex7819 I felt like that the first couple months, but running through the tutorials helps. 1 big secret is to enlist with a noob friendly corporation and learn the ropes under more experienced players. After 2 years of playing, I'm still learning (more like refining) how to play this game. LOVE IT!
@AxeBond5 Titans are the largest class of ship in EVE and as such boast the largest amount of Armour and weapons systems. In addtion to this the boast a "Dooms day"weapon platform which can cause large amount of damage to a single ship. Each races titan is shifted to a specific role in fleets,. Finally as the slowest ship class that I know of Titans are usually only found in fleet operations,though there are those who fly it around normally. Any more questions just ask me.
@Fliuck Hey how much does it cost to play EVE? is it expensive? also does it require a high spec PC? I can rune games like X3 or MW2 in my PC with no problem but cant rune black ops or BFBC2, will I still be able to rune it?
@DK988 EVE costs 15$ per month US if you buy 1 month at a time, or a bit less if you buy it in blocks. It surprisingly doesn't need very high specs considering how good it looks. I have a year old laptop, I can't run MW2 on it worth crap, but eve runs on mid-high graphics with a great framerate.

@DK988 Surprisingly no. Eve skills in real time, not game time. So your character advances at the same speed whether you're online or not. That means you get to spend more of your time doing what you want to do, rather than what you need to do to make your character skill up.

It's kinda complex I think(Played for about 3 months) but I do not agree when people says it take ages to get a good ship, I was training for about a week and then I got a Drake wich is a ship capable of doing level 4 missions, and a Retriever wich is a good mining barge.
When it comes to loosing a ship, it's all about cash. If you got enough you can just buy a new one immidietly. And insurance is there for you...
@Ezorrd You can get a ship really soon..but not a >GOOD< one. My drake can blow your 3 month of playing drake out of the sky, if we were to fight. Eve is all about training the right skills... and money.
The only thing that puts me off EVE is, it looks fairly complex, heard it takes ages to get a good ship and if your ship is destroyed you lose it O_o, other than that it looks an epic game.
@XXXpallisterXXX actually most of the ships are very cheap and can be replace very easily, of course, there are expensive ships. A cruiser is about 5 mil and frigate is like 200K, and after 2 months of game play, my miner can mine 5 mil per hour in high sec almost afk. An experienced players I heard can make like 50 mil an hour. I have lost tons of cheap ships, just don't fly expensive one if you don't have the money.
@hungryhamsters well what im doing right now in eve is running a tengu completely fitted out with lvl 3 items and i go farm C2-C4 anomalies and i get about.... 300mil in about 24 hours =)
I recently started playing EvE and it's very good! hard to get into but once your past the tutorials and the basics it's really rewarding.. soon.. I will dominate the entire universe or see it burn >:D

@boydde3de Well, WoW have sort of those things too, everyone doesn't play only BG, ever heard of raids? That is hard as shit, and it's not just letting the tanks aggro something and then the dps nukes it, no, it's a lot more difficult than that. We use strategies to say the least. You can't compare two significantly different games, WoW is WoW, and EVE is EVE. Some prefer WoW and some prefer EVE, but don't be a big douche about it will ya!
@Magnoliaprod He's referring to the PvP. eve is all about PvP, WoW is all about PvE. raids are not hard, they are predictable. yes you use strategys, but all that takes is knowledge, in eve the challenge comes when your fleet of 800 ships smashes into another fleet of 800 ships, and being able to win that fight. Pvp by nature is always more difficult than PvE because you cannot predict PvP. In a fleet engagement, you dont know what the other FC is thinking, and you must out think him to win
@Magnoliaprod whereas in WoW you rely on your tactics that will always work to complete a raid. so therefore the only thing that comes close to comparing is the PvP, which in WoW is far less intense and the fights have far less meaning than a fight in eve. if you lose in BG, your guild doesnt disband. if you lose your fleet engagement eventually it could lead to your corp's complete destruction.
@shadowsabere I know that there are arenas in WoW but if you ever played eve you would see that there are alot more possibilities in eve than there are in WoW.
I have played wow and had a lot of fun playing it but in the end I find eve more strategic than wow.
@Bournesax : I agree ... wow is much more easy ! A battle in eve needs discipline , organization and team work. You have to follow order without complaining , nor louding in voice channel . You have to make attention to many things .

The huge battles in EVE are cool but I wished it was a little more organized like in the trailers. Usually it's just a clusterfuck of big ships bumping into each other while shooting guns.
this is what i want to do, instead im stuck in high sec minign like a carebear :( if you need a miner in ur corp just ask, im willign to learn to use capitals, my alt can use the indy capital rorqual in under a day then others under 80 days :)
It's just luck I guess. Capital ships can take a huge beating, you'll never kill any unless your fleet focuses all their firepower on just one or two at a time. So I guess the camerman go lucky and wasn't targeted.
all i can say is for the MMO industry this game is extemely good for the sheer number of players that can participate in a battle, i play WOW i think that its a good mmo plenty of things to do, pvp, pve and other stuff, but eve has more in the way of content i feel.
I got to say this fight looks quite nice...reminds me a bit of MoO series which i used to play and really enjoyed it...All the possible tactics, diplomacy and such things...Maybe will start playing Eve soon :P

@Ultimabong Well lag has been a problem for a long time, and I've been mostly away from the game for a month but I was in an NC vs PL fight the other day with about 250 people involved and that was really smooth, and during the NC invasion of the Dronelands last fall we were having fights with over 1000 people and as long as we got a reinforced node it was nice. Then they busted out the Jita Supernode and we had a fight with I think about 3k people involved.
I got referred by a friend to join a nullsec corp from the start(Test alliance please Ignore) ,and I can earn billions an hour and my account is only 2 and half months old :)
if eve was a 1 payment only game i woulve played it, that its more complex then any other mmorpg is really cool in my opinion, and i also like the ship design ;)

Eve is a much better and harder game than wow
as obismey said in eve you need teamwork organisation and discipline.
Yes It is much harder than wow but in wow it's just battlegrounds and achievements.
in eve most of the time your battles have meaning and you need to think about what you gonna do.
in wow its just raging some people get honor and buy stuff with it.
In eve you could fight over the control of a solar system what will make your corporation (guild) much more money and power.

@boydde3de Well, WoW have sort of those things too, everyone doesn't play only BG, ever heard of raids? That is hard as shit, and it's not just letting the tanks aggro something and then the dps nukes it, no, it's a lot more difficult than that. We use strategies to say the least. You can't compare two significantly different games, WoW is WoW, and EVE is EVE. Some prefer WoW and some prefer EVE, but don't be a big douche about it will ya!

@Magnoliaprod He's referring to the PvP. eve is all about PvP, WoW is all about PvE. raids are not hard, they are predictable. yes you use strategys, but all that takes is knowledge, in eve the challenge comes when your fleet of 800 ships smashes into another fleet of 800 ships, and being able to win that fight. Pvp by nature is always more difficult than PvE because you cannot predict PvP. In a fleet engagement, you dont know what the other FC is thinking, and you must out think him to win

@Magnoliaprod whereas in WoW you rely on your tactics that will always work to complete a raid. so therefore the only thing that comes close to comparing is the PvP, which in WoW is far less intense and the fights have far less meaning than a fight in eve. if you lose in BG, your guild doesnt disband. if you lose your fleet engagement eventually it could lead to your corp's complete destruction.

I have played wow and had a lot of fun playing it but in the end I find eve more strategic than wow.

@Bournesax : I agree ... wow is much more easy ! A battle in eve needs discipline , organization and team work. You have to follow order without complaining , nor louding in voice channel . You have to make attention to many things .

Its a tactical game not a cool screen effect you can look at ;)
The lines are lasers mostly and dots are rockets, rest is the interface you need to have to know what you´re doing.

The huge battles in EVE are cool but I wished it was a little more organized like in the trailers. Usually it's just a clusterfuck of big ships bumping into each other while shooting guns.

It's just luck I guess. Capital ships can take a huge beating, you'll never kill any unless your fleet focuses all their firepower on just one or two at a time. So I guess the camerman go lucky and wasn't targeted.

all i can say is for the MMO industry this game is extemely good for the sheer number of players that can participate in a battle, i play WOW i think that its a good mmo plenty of things to do, pvp, pve and other stuff, but eve has more in the way of content i feel.

@Ultimabong Well lag has been a problem for a long time, and I've been mostly away from the game for a month but I was in an NC vs PL fight the other day with about 250 people involved and that was really smooth, and during the NC invasion of the Dronelands last fall we were having fights with over 1000 people and as long as we got a reinforced node it was nice. Then they busted out the Jita Supernode and we had a fight with I think about 3k people involved.

@WallMartProductions the cost to maintain the servers is HUGE! the universe in eve and the constantly changing universe that resets every day is MASSIVE. takes so long to travel in that time and think about all the stuff CCP has to do. i
