  • Its very interesting watching the history behind Elite and the struggle with the hardware but I think many would be more interested in a reflective post-mortem as why the Elite titles were never fully exploited . The Elite impact was very similar to the Doom impact but ID fully exploited that title and gave players a great string of progressive games, Elite was never pushed as hard. Fortunately it did inspire projects like Infinity: Quest for Earth, that might satisfy the fans of this genre.
