This is exactly when I find Nonviolent Communication à la Marshall Rosenberg so useful. I know I'm not ugly, nor am I beautiful. I am simply me - if I'm not me, who will be?!

So if someone says to me "you're ugly", I'd guess they are worried because they need reassurance that I can meet my need for acceptance. And of course I can and do!

Does that make sense to you?

any woman now that tells me I'm too old or ugly i will just know they have ugly thoughts & are thus ugly for saying so but of course I'd also have to be ugly for thinking this but then again I am not as narcissistic as most people. for a women being told shes ugly can upset her self esteem for a man it can lessen his chances of getting laid.
