  • This clip is literally ahead of its time. Kinda creepy but very funny!

  • I saw this 30 years ago and laughed till I cried. To see it still be so relevant is fascinating. Bless you for posting this. Richard Pryor, the Michael Jackson of Comedy! Will never be another!

  • @ 00:38 - Is that a very young Robin Williams behind the "reporter" asking the question?

  • @USATheFree YES THAT IS A YOUNG ROBIN WILLIAMS

  • Its probably not what you would expect. Check video of Sammy Davis Jr. Playing POTUS in 1933 when he was 7 years old. Vid is on YOUTUBE

  • I am writing a paper about Pryor, can someone confirm that Pryor is the first Black to play a president on television.

  • @idontknow1919 No, Pryor was not the first Black to play a president. There was a movie, though I'm not sure of the name, back in the mid 60's that depicted a black man as President. In this version he was the Vice-President and the President suddenly dies. The title may be something along the lines of "A Brother in the House (or White House), something to that effect.

  • Mississippi Sit Down!

  • He was way ahead of his time!!!!!!...

  • thumbs up if you recognize 'pops' from the Fridays movies and the Wayans Brothers show

  • WILL YOUR MOMMA DO MY HOUSE!? :P

  • Funny how it was almost prophetic by having a black president be the 40th - turned out to be the 44th

  • @cllamont plus the same social problems this President is facing, even the Job Market... The NFL,

White Women/Tiger Woods comparison is funny considering the time gap.

  • "-quite frankly sir, youv'e been courtin an awful lot of white women. Will this continue?

-...as long as i can keep it up"

    LOL

  • haha I think you can spot out Robin Williams in the background :35 - :46

  • @str1ver777 Looool, i saw him...thinking the same thing...

  • This is hilarious!!!

  • What u lookin at snow white ?

  • It's sad that he had to make silly movies like The Toy, which totally undermined the great comic that he was.

  • as long as i can keep it up lmao classic line

  • Genius at work!!!

  • I just pissed my pants.

  • Somebody should show this to Obama.

  • "Lakium Lam"....LMAO!!!!

  • what year was this

  • @shariefwat Sharief I think this sketch was done in '77 not sure.

  • 1:02, dude in the back can't control his laughter

  • @ampleant Yes he was laughing at the reporter from Honolulu

  • lol

  • My man, Richard was way way ahead of his time !!!!!!

  • 3:44 what language are they speaking, and what is said ?

  • @Goodatconnect4

As-Salamu Alaykum is an Arabic spoken greeting used by Muslims and to a lesser extent by Arab Christians and Jews. The term salam in Arabic means "peace". The greeting may also be transliterated as Asalam Alaykum which means "peace be upon you".

  • @Goodatconnect4

The traditional response is Wa Alaykum as-Salaam, meaning "and upon you be peace". This type of greeting is common in the Middle East, Africa, The Balkans & South Asia. A Hebrew counterpart greeting is Shalom aleichem and its Maltese is Sliem ghalikom.

  • Thanks, Dyakki. I'm guessing that Pryor responds by saying "Sliem ghalikom" ? it sounds the closest, unless its pronounced differently.

  • Yeah, it's a 'short form' that some Black Muslims use in the U. S.

  • Damn i wish pryor was still alive

  • @crotchshotradioshow Hey Crotch man we all do but this is as close we will get to seeing him when he was alive.

  • @crotchshotradioshow Yes Crotch man then he could the idea for this historic sketch come true.

  • @crotchshotradioshow Yes same here just to see OBAMA live his dream

  • @dal4018 I seriously think Pryor would be disappointed in Obama

  • @crotchshotradioshow Well Pryor would need to realize that Obama's under somebody's thumb

  • @dal4018 Shit, I know he would cause Pryor wasnt about the bullshit. I would have love to see a show with Pryor, Hicks, Carlin, and Chappell man if that wouldnt have started a revolution i dont know what will.

  • @crotchshotradioshow When MARCIA WARFIELD asked Pryor who would be his new DIRECTOR OF THE FBI instead of saying HUEY NEWTON IF HE KNEW OF THIS INDIVIDUAL HE SHOULD HAVE SAID MY NEW DIRECTOR WILL BE ROBERT F.WILLIAMS.THIS MAN WAS THE CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT BEST KEPT SECRET.READ HIS BIO "RADIO FREE DIXIE".This man was the INSPIRATION for Huey Newton and the Panthers with his ideas for SELF DEFENSE,he was stating this publicly BEFORE MALCOLM X

  • This is so great... Charlie Rose had Paul Mooney on and showed a little bit of this bit he helped write for SNL.

  • Pryor was a social comedic genuis beyond his times.

  • the best
