  • How to get rid off acne? The best solution eat cereal(basic) and milk for breakfast, chicken soup for lunch and few pieces of white meat or fish with boiled vegetables for dinner for 10 days.

    Note: no red meat, soda, oily food, butter,and cheese

  • Organic foods are best. As opposed to processed foods, such as TV dinners, canned foods, and certain fast foods. Avoid foods that have man made chemicals added to it... such as Sodas, Artificial Sweeteners, & diet foods. with Aspartame/ etc. in them. This is why Organic foods and hand cooked meals are best... no added chemicals. Avoid scavengers. Even the army (avoids) them. Such as Pork. Shrimp. Certain Fish. Crabs. Oysters. ~Beef is ok. Turkey is ok. Salmon is ok. Just check your labels.

  • A few tips for clear skin. (Sometimes) it's not what we do, but what we don't do, that clears up skin. Tips. Don't drink milk / eat cheese, adding hormones to your system. Don't eat any (scavengers), like pork, that carries toxins in the meat. Don't smoke! It stresses the body out. Control stress. Eat healthy. Moderetly work out. Don't over wash, but keep a clean body and environment. Allergies to certain foods, or soaps, toxins. Low surgar. Orgainc foods. No aspertain, (diet) foods.

  • I love the fact that I find more and more people who are now looking for natural sources to treat their acne. I have suffered from acne and for years I have been treated with antibiotics, hormones, birth controls, etc. Finally, I got sick of it and decided to start treating my condition with the help of a holistic nutritionist, who doesn't treat the symptom, but root cause. You are right, is not the easiest route to take, but it definitely is the best one. Thank you for spreading the word! =)

  • Just do the Paleo Diet, add zinc and omega 3 if you want. It's basically the same thing as Ray says, but you'll find it very easy to find out how to make paleo diet meals.

    One vitamin may cure you, but it's very unlikely, the paleo diet ensures you get everything you need. And it's usually cheaper.

  • Tetracycline. 250 mg. 3x a day from your doctor of course ... till your clear .. :) that's what to eat. It's not dietary per se. .. it's actually hormonal. Asparagus is good for the skin. People often make the mistake of thinking that fats breaks the skin out. It's a different medical biological condition. Well balanced diet .. is always good. some fats are needed by the body. it's about balance. and seeing a doctor when you need to.

  • Eat something fresh with every meal like parsley, lettuce, whatever fresh and green to take the strain off the system from eating so much meat and cooked food. You will feel fuller and more energetic. Also with carbs and being hungry, I find beans and legumes are a great source of low-gi carbs, got rid of the always hungry feeling for me. Soak and prepare correctly and choose beans that have higher levels of protein to carb ratios. Check the nutrition info on label.

  • @a1465...Dumb? No he's not...if you eat a shitty diet full of Junk food, you will get acne and acne scars. You need Omega 3 fatty acids, you need anti-oxidants from apples, pomegranate juices or Green Tea...you need to eat oatmeal, and bananas and those provide complex carbohydrates...You also need plenty of Dark Green vegetables too.

    I could go on and on forever, but this guy is right...you should really listen to him.

    anyway what you eat does affect your hormones. eat to much suger, then there is loads of insulin released to combat the. insulin is a hormone and its going to affect your acne... etc etc..

  • And another thing on your blog.. In the summer sweat is not good for your acne but try get into the sun as much as possible because vitamin D is one the best things for your skin.. On top of that if you have acne scars (not creators) .. Those dark spot scars that irritate the crap out of most people ..   • So, I study abroad in a host family and I've got no access to the kitchen. My host mother normally cooks a lot of pasta, rice and potatoes... sometimes she makes chicken with boiled vegs.... not too healthy, and I think it worsens my acne. As a student my budget is very limited and can't buy supplements and since I'm not allowed in the kitchen, I can't cook my own meals. My question being: what kind of snack that won't have to be kept in the fridge help balance my diet and reduce acne?

  • @wninjaw That's right, carbs aren't bad. You just need to know what kind to eat, when, and how much. Certain people though are more sensitive than others to refined sugar and other substances, it's important to understand that what works for one person might not work for another.

  • I have severe acne. but its getting alittle better. My skin has lightened alittle bit. Diet plays a major role if you have acne. BUT, lets be foreal, if acne was caused by just diet alone, then tons of people would have acne! This westernized diet is so bad! It's more than just food. Hormones and heredity (genes) play a role too. I wish I knew what was causing mine. Acne is so depressing when you have scars all over and you have it severely.

Diet doesn't CAUSE acne but it can aggravate acne if you're already predisposed to a certain environmental factors and on top of that have the genetics that are prone to a specific type of hormonal behavior. In other words, diet doesn't cause acne but they are correlated. And seriously, acne IS depressing, I think anyone who really suffered from acne understands that it's more than just exterior.

  • @raykingofchina and another thing, I think one of the main reasons I have acne is toxin buildup in my system. Honestly, I don't go to the bathroom everyday like I should. I'm trying to say this in a mature way. You know, I don't "number 2" everyday. loI I know thats bad. :( what do you think I should do? Colon cleanse? Detox? Please help. I'd appreciate it so much :)

  • @DTey22 You should be probably be eating more soluble and insoluble fiber, also things like yogurt or kefir might help. On top of that, add calcium and magnesium to your diet because magnesium serves as a laxative. Because you probably already know, not using the restroom on a daily basis isn't good for you...

  • @raykingofchina Already on the yogurt tip! I love yogurt. It's plain, lowfat yogurt with live cultures so it's the natural kind that has the probiotic bacteria in it. I also use it on my face at night as a mask/moisterizer after I wash it and it has really helped! My skin is so smooth and soft now. I kinda got off of using harsh chemicals so often. Went natural. I probably only use my benzoyl peroxide creme one a week to manage a breakout. I eat oatmeal everyday so I get enough "good" fiber.

  • its totally diet. stay away from dairy. eat vegan if you can it will help i swear. i used to have severe acne & now my skin is pretty clear. i recommend reading: The China Study. I am now vegan.

  • raykingofchina...they have done studies over and over and diet does not cause acne. The only thing that benefits your skin that has to do with food & drink is water. Water clears out toxins and keeps skin hydrated and healthy.

  • Technically, carbs are not BAD for you. Refined grains and processed foods are. If you check out my website I talk more in detail about how people with acne should, in the beginning of the diet, avoid grains until their bodies are well cailbrated, etc... andddd I could go on but my point is that this video only gives me enough time to state general statements, hope that helps!

  • I don't think any meats are "cleaner" than others. It all depends on if the meat is organic grass fed meat. There is no need to go lean because my acne got better when I increased my saturated fats. I got everything but the kifer - coconut oil is amazing!

  • I heard the only carbs to avoid are sugar and wheat and white flour. Can't you still eat things like corn, brown rice, sprouted whole grain breads, and whole oats? I read that whole grains such as these are also sources of good fats. And other ones also include nuts, seeds, green leafy vegetables, oily fish, and avocados?

  • hey pnuemax, you should definitely avoid sugar and white flour in general. Things that are better for you are brown rice, sprouted whole grain and whole oats because they still contain the original fiber as nature intended. I talk about all these foods on my website, you should definitely check it out, it's step 2 that you're looking for in the regimen.
