Always loved the version on Richard's "Time" album with Dusty, but this version is just as good! Nice surprise. You can really picture how great it would have been with Karen singing lead.

No, this sung was not written for Karen to sing. she had already died. IN LOVE ALONE was written and RC wanted Karen to come over to hear it, but it was raining heavily and so Karen didn't come over...and so she never got to hear that song IN LOVE ALONE which Dionne Warwick did for TIME, RC's solo album 1987...

Unfortunately, the Christmas Album with Richard was postponed due to Richard's illness. On a good note, Claire's new Christmas album with her son Gigo will be released next week. I can't wait till it comes out!

The video from 1987 featured Dusty Springfield and Richard Carpenter, along with a lot of car scenes because Richard has a real passion for cars. It is nice to see him back in the music business. He is a great talent.

Thank you so much for the info. Yes, Richard Carpenter is such a great talent. I love the Carpenters music. Richard is teaming up with Claire again this year for their upcoming Christmas album. I can't wait for it!

Hi sweetgirl for Jesus, I'm also for Jesus! I'm not definitely sure about the answer to that, but only that Dusty Springfield ended up singing it, but Claire's version is just beautiful!

I also want to add that Claire's voice is so lovely that when I hear her sing in person, she gives me goosebumps! What a great singer!
