Did you just up the volts and clocks or tweak the fan settings too? How hot does it run at 1.1v compared to 1.05v? I have inno3D 8800GT which gets v.hot at 700/1700/2000 and crashes after 1 hour in FEAR (red sparklies) despite using RivaTuner to crank up the fan... is flashing better than RivaTuner OC?
hi just wondering if you have had any success flashing the 8800gt to a 9800gt bios for the sake of sli with another 9800gt. also i currently have an xfx 8800gt oc @ 725 1785 900 on stock cooling and i was wondering if its worth modifying my old aquagate socket A waterblock to fit it or if im not going to gain that much anyways?
Yea, if upping Voltages upgrading cooling is a must hands down, you probably could go farther but the stock heatsink is horrible. I personally have the accelero S2 with turbo module fans.
I guess if I do this I'll have to switch boot order go into xp save + edit the bios and then reset back to my x64 vista installation...nzibitor/nvflash won't work in vista x64 due to incompatibility
:( btw did you use a guide? or just load your bios then up the volts to 1.1?
hmm... do you have more detailed instructions before this? Like if you can do it with a flash drive? Or where/which guide you used? And isn't anything past 2000 memory a bit of overkill?

@kbobiller just underclock memory to 900Mhz or less to stop that. I my XFX does that.

what 7horn said. I can't find any BIOS upgrades except for ASUS cards, and I don't even know if that's the same as what you have shown in the vid.
I have a 512 stock twintech 88GT card, will this work? and where did you get the update from? can't find any
