Look, I was a TRUE DIE HARD fan of FOB for the longest fuckin time EVER. after they released infinity on high, i was like "okay, it's different. but i'm a fan, so i support them, besides, it's not as good as from under the cork tree, but hey, i like a few songs..." then Folie a Deux came out and OMFG it was TERRIBLE. Plus patrick isn't a good vocalist... maybe while recorded but,,, i realized a long time ago that they were a bad band.

That's not entirely true.

If you can't sing to begin with, it makes it unbelievably easier to pitch. If you're already a good singer, it has less of an effect, and just makes small adjustments to notes when you bend.

i use it for the effect and T-pain wasn't the only person to use it, don't be so naive, cher used to use this effect, you have to be able to sing for it to work, you can't just sing a G note then it'll push it into a C, you have to sing in key and you may sing say a E and it'll push it into F... and this forcing causes the robotic sound
