I've made Dimentio skin. Trust me, making maps is easier than making skins. I'm going to make more eventually. Btw, I know how to find SPM songs and remixes. This video is proof.

1. Take some original SMW skin and make sure it's 8X8 or 16X16. I don't remember that much.

2. Just draw sprites in MSpaint, but they have to fit in.

3. Patience, patience
