When I first saw this thing, I drooled over it and sold my old Zoom G1X. I honestly regret that. The Zoom was SOOOOOO much simpler to use, the tone sounded a lot better and less processed, it was smaller, more lightweight and less dextrous to use. I WANT MY GODDAMN ZOOM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

@karolsoda Go to line6 website and download Line6 Monkey (free). Use that to install the drivers. next, plug the thing into your pc with a USB cable. I think you can also download Gearbox from Line6, I use it to edit tones and send them to my xtLive

JC are these the only people they could find to demo the pedal??? FYI the XTLive is phenominal. Forget the presets....the online library has thousands of tones downloadable in seconds straight to the pedal, so your library is vast! Everyone else did the tweaking and creating for you! You can also upload your own custom tones to the online library that alows others to download your tones! When you get tired of the tones you have, delete them all and start over if you want..... amazing!

have owned 2 pod xts... weither i plug it directly into the front of a combo or into a pa, i can NEVER get a sound other than a tin high pitched sound out... I have tried to tweak all of the options that this board has.... i am a bit disapointed with the pod xt. when i plug ear phones into it, it sounds great but other than that, im quiet disapointed...

I hate the unit :) I played with one the other week! and compared it to my analog pedal set-up! which includes a Wampler delay, handbuilt overdrive with high quailty parts! and afew other pedals! they completely blow away the Line 6 with ease. I know some guitar players go on how good the XT Live is? I would personally never use one live! it felt like a box full of too many shitty effects to be honest :) my Boss SE-70 is better for mulit effects

As of now i have no extra equipment, I'm just hooking my guitar up to the line-in jack on the soundcard, but I get a delay of about 20-50ms and can't play anything without falling off the beat.

sometimes you can sometimes you can. I'm not sure why specifically but on some computers you can and on others you can't. Try plugging a mic in and then play around the volume control menu and see if you can get it to output that without lag. If it can, then you're good to go.

I have been using one of these for years. You can attach it to a PC edit your tones for a full set: rythms & leads by song title play direct through the P.A or an amp. Dial in incredible tones for each type of guitar you own from acoustics to humbuckers or single coil. I do a lot of recording via USB and also play Bass through it. The PodXT Live is my main throughput device!

Seems simple enough to analyze test signals from an acoustic and then punch out the electrics raw signal and then dial in the differences in digital. No one does this though...

Well i'm using a Peavy Bandit right now, but you could really put this thing through anything. But if you really want the balls you should go through atleast a 75 watt. However if you use a Stack amp you dont really need to use the amp modeling portion of the pedal.

I don't use to play bfmv but when I covered tears don't fall I used a british jcm 800 with a boost and delay (for intro)....don't know the settings..drive and volume were all the way up, .......the rest is up to your ears..

I bought mine new a few years ago hoping it would give me a good consistent live sound when touring. Unfortunately I really don't like it. The sounds are just too thin and suck away the original sound of any guitar I have plugged into it. I don't use it now unless I'm gigging with someone who specifically wants lots of effects. I have gone back to analogue pedals and I'm happy. I wish had a blend control so I can keep the original raw guitar sound and add the amount of effect to it I want.

Just go on the Line 6 website, download the Line 6 Monkey, install it, plug your pod in your computer via USB and do your updates! I think that in your case it will simply re-install everything back. It worked for me!

I've found pods very useful in the studio direct and also through practise amps, however when plugging into bigger amps at gigs etc there always seems to be tons of feedback. I tried changing settings on the amp and made sure i didn't have an amp model selected on the pod itself but still no joy. I got fed up and started using analog pedals.

I do however much prefer the simplicity of the pods and i'm wondering if this would be a better option than the standard pods for live use?
