  • its just lucky usa and germany got better place then norway

  • i was there last year ! and did the dave murray it's really hard . it dosnt lok like it there , i was racing it adn ended up in hospital with a broken neck and a two week long concussion ... its not as easy as it looks here

  • its not pretty steep, the downhill runs in europe such as la face and in wengen are much steeper, north american ski runs are rather complimentary

  • Rendering.... cool - looks like skiing on acid

  • no, you'd stop and start getting overly confused by the intricate patterns of the nearby trees, and snow, and clouds, and your skis, clothes, hands =S

  • Aksel is going to win gold today!!

  • im serious...i could own that course....fuck this im writing an email to the us ski team

  • Uh-huh, sure you could. Let me guess, some bad break that you blame on someone else of course, prevented you from making the US ski team.

  • Big-Man Noise

  • Ya know I skied this a long time ago 220cm Fischer Ski..Nordica boots..Marker bindings..we didn't care about anything we went for speed....the downhill at Whistler is the best especially if its icy.

  • The world cup level skiers will tell you the Dave Murray downhill is one of the 2 most difficult and exciting courses in the world. Because of its steepness and wild curves it is one of their favorites.

  • This course looks super super flat, and lacking pitch. I hope its just this vidoe, I know some men on the FIS circut call Louise a Womens course due to lack of pitch, this looks way worse!

  • 3 seconds in and you are at over 60 mph. If you have ever wagged a camera around on a mountain, you know the camera flattens everything out when facing it head-on (down or up). The Dave Murray downhill drops over 1km vertical in just 2.40kms, and is the second longest downhill course on the planet. Any Olympic downhill is steep, man. Whistler is one of the most challenging.

  • @mally411 I ski this all the time, there is one flat section, by the orange fences on the right. Otherwise the run is pretty steep, especially the section right after that.

  • I created this video and it was agreed by all who work with me on different projects that it looks rather tame as opposed to what it looks like in real life. The reason behind this is that we created a 70 degree field of view. Video cameras regularly shoot at about 30-35 degree field of view and the human eyes focuses on much less. That give the video a very flat look as opposed to the way we see it in real life.

  • This is no Dave Murray Downhill course, my grandmother could tuck this!

  • I've been fortunate enough to go down the track, but not as part of a race. Certainly fell more than once. :-)
