I just picked this up on eBay for 24.99 free ship! I've been looking for it for awhile and I really wanted the black label version. This is my first time playing MGS1. I've only played 4 and watched a friend play 2. So far I'm in looove with this game! I'm a cutscene fan so this is great for me.

I can't find this game anywere for less than £30 its not in any shops but I found mgs 1 in a shop for£7.50 do you think its worth it plus why is twin snakes cost so much

@Theneongamer1 Yea i just checked the price for the US and it is pretty high. I personally think it is less painful graphically to play this one. Either way it is the same exact game.

Good commentry, and nice vid. Will this version fill the screen on a widescreen TV? It looks like it's cropped on the edges. I have a plasma TV so I can't have the image cropped because of 'burn-in' issues with the screen.

MGS 1 is my favorite game of all time. MGS 3 is 2nd ,then MGS 2 ...and then MGS 4 which i dont like much at all as much as it pains me to say.

@NyneVoltGames I love the first game as much as the next guy but think about this.The first game was so small and had you in confined environments.How would the gameplay of the newer games translate to Shadow Moses island, and the sense of urgency and pace that the original game had?Some times great works are better left untouched and the way they are.

I will be honest, i cant get into Metal Gear Solid (Yeah I know, i should be executed) lol...I've tried a couple times and i'm just not good at stealth tactical games like this. But I can see why people love the series....Great review
