  • I had one, turned it back; doesn't work. Don't waste ur money

  • great vid

ANYONE UP? I NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO Bm

  • Check out what Whole Foods is doing to "go green"!!!!

CLICK ON VIDEO RESPONSE ABOVE "WHOLE FOODS CHOPS DOWN WHOLE TREES"...

  • How long charging up before it can fully charge a mobile phone?

  • it depends on sunlight, mostly you need 4-8 h, if the sky is cloudy you need minimum 10 h

  • Freeplay's treadle power source still trumps anything that's come out so far, inasfar as reliable, self-contained power is concerned. Current solar panels are waaay behind the tech curve (standard panel tech is years and years old) and the principles involved should be embracing the various new entrepreneurial innovations much, MUCH faster than they are; shame on them.

  • it is compact though

  • shame you need a pencil though it wouldto have been useful if they had made a little filp out stand on one of the leaves

  • can i use as helix in my boat?

  • Go to solarstyle . com it has solar charger with an on board battery that cost only $20 and it's connectors ar $4 At solio their cheapest solar charger is 80$ and their connectors cost $10 rip off!

  • but does it work as well?

  • i love china !

  • Well, i love Japan for inventing all these advanced things...

  • Awesome, even though it is expensive, it is neat and green. I did expect it to be pricy, even health food is expensive, so a solar panel charger is going to be out of comfortable range.

  • go to solarstyle . com instead twice as cheap!

  • they dont have it there...

  • Never mind it is 99.95.

  • How much is it?

  • probably ridiculously expensive

  • its $99

  • @thisisgreentv that is ridiculously expensive...

i got an awesome solar charger (it powers my latop..) for 75 bucks and you can get less powerful ones for 50...

  • Can it charge Macbooks?

  • go to solarstyle. com instead twice as cheap!

  • you dont have it there?

  • At first I was cool and I wanted to buy it and then I saw the price... $79.95 for a tiny key chain charger. No way!!!!!! If it was like 30$ I would buy it but this is just too expensive. I like the envirement and all but I never knew it was so expensive.

  • Well what do you expect? Solar panels are not cheap...

  • 80 bucks is that bad for something that will charge things anywhere and for ever

  • hı hı !

  • mol wida son amis schissdrack wo kei mensch brucht!

  • How is this piece of plastic and rechargeable batteries any better for the enviroment than drawing a couple watts from a wall outlet? If you want to do something good for the environment stop producing billions of new consumer products a year and telling people its "green" as incentive to buy it.

  • I think people would buy it so you could use it anywhere rather then helping the environment

  • I agree that the benefit from this charger is not going to improve the environment. "Don't buy it if you dont need it". I see this product more usefull if you are going to be somewhere and there is no electricity around, your travelling etc.

  • send a emale to me xD

  • where can u bye one of these? :D

  • everyone needs this charger.. good idea.. but produce what Amper and what volts.. and how much the price.. thnx

  • Hope it comes with a pencil....Hmp>>>>

  • 这玩意儿不错!~

  • freaking sweet just hope it dont over do itself and break like all the other portable chargers ive tried...

  • You are all speak in English?

I understand you, video is cool, but my plagin is bad...

    ps I'm from Russia

  • Yes we all text in English

  • i have one of these and it can be frusturating sometimes, but all in all was a good buy

  • It sounds good. But how large capacity is it?

  • very much so, too much has been wasted on the product itself for the product to actually balance out what good it may do. not helping the earth what so ever.

  • must get one of these!

  • too bad it cost $300

  • Indeed. It's basically an overpriced set of small solar panels with some capacitors. You basically pay for the additional connections.

  • That price will go down in time. I hope.

  • Its actually $99 (but still expensive for a charger, i agree)

  • no it's $100

  • where can u buy this?

  • i want one sooooooooooooooooo bad can u email me one

  • how cool would that be..

  • My ass! Look at all those god damn un-degradalbe plugs and hook-ups you made for this shitlio, you save some power but waste so much on the product alone... you out of you rmind

  • This is a funny idea...but....

    Solar energy is BAD becouse:

Everything needs engery. am i Right?

It also needs engery to make these solar pannels.

It takes 6 years before solarpannels have made enough enegry to produce the engergy that the fabrick needed to make the solar pannels.

But after 6 years you have to replace the solarpannels becouse they arent makin enough energy to (for example) refill your battery!

so... that is the problem with solar energy.

  • you make a very good point

  • you are correct

but it's 3 to 4 years for the solarpannels to generate enough power to compensate for how much energy it took to create the pannels in the first place.

  • No. That is like saying people will never have "personal" computers because computers take up an entire room and weigh several tons. They DID, but in the future they WON'T

  • good point.

  • You have a good point. But I have actually found that most companies that sell solar panels offer 25 year warranties. In addition the efficiency of the panels keep increasing. We have a ways to go, but the technology keeps improving, and the price keeps dropping...

  • What the role is it?

  • And can it break down?, cos what if?!

  • If more people had things like these it would be a big step of saving the in invaerment, [I'm sory. i don't know how to spell the vord.] helping to stop the global warming. :]

  • a nuclear bomb made of toilet paper

  • WHAT,WHAT!

  • i bet it costs a lot

  • sweet

  • cool thing :O

  • Just a quick question.

Which would you recommend? For say, which of the products are the most efficient:

    -Ferrari with a V10 motor

    -nuclear bomb

    -toilet paper

  • toilet paper by far...

  • toilet paper.

  • That all depends on what you want to get done :-)

  • I want to purify acids and bases from mixtures based on their chemical properties.

  • A main difference between the Solio and these other two options is the fact that the Solio has a "brain" in the form of software application which tells it the correct power needed to charge a cell phone, ipod etc. as soon as it is connected with it. The others have a fixed power output which limit their functionality. The other factor is that the Solio has a replaceable rechargeable battery which means ultimately it was built to last.

The Solio works and works really well.

  • Hi Freely18,

I've only tested out the Solio, so unfortunately I don't have an efficiency comparison on the Freeloader or the Powermonkey. However we were very impressed w/ the diff. mounting options on the Solio and the overal design... It works great.

  • Just a quick question.

Which would you recommend? For say, which of the products are the most efficient:

    -Solio

    -FreeLoader

    -Powermonkey

  • Hi Freely18,

We've only tried out the Solio, sorry I cant help you out on that one. From what I can see on the web, the solio is in middle price range, and in my personal opition, has a way cooler design, and more mounting options. We'l be looking to try out the Freeloader and the Powermonkey. Have you tried any of them?
