an ego or timmy are also about $750-1000 more. Not everyone can afford a gun that expensive, and an ion xe with a virtue board and l7 techt bolt preforms like a $600-700 gun. Overall the ion xe is a good gun, but you do have to upgrade it a bit. I don't like the plain ions though.......

@p8ntballcracker the wire going to one of the eyes was pinched by the screw witched ripped the wire. so when i played i would just turn the gun on and the eyes would automatically be on. but i guess it detected a fault in the eyes. so i was chopping like crazy and couldn't figure it out and gave up and got a rental ion.
Yea you need to dump a shitload of money into an Ion for it to compete in it's own price range and by the time you upgraded it, it's way above it's price.

sec 4 - sec 17 he shoots the entire hoper. Presuming that are 200 balls in there that mens 15 bps. Way to low fire rate compared to and Etek ego 5 marker (the above 5 are much more faster up to 30+ if the hoper can feed that much).
What about SpeedBall xBall? You do not need to be fast? On prebank? Run&Shoot. Draw lines of paint? Cross fire? C`mon man.
Also here in Europe we are limited by the regulations on 15BPS. The most important thing in here is how much you can keep a marker in ramp, and the electronics and the trigger sensibility are very important issues. A Ion can not provide this. Take a look at the PB competitions an you will see what i am talking about.
with a new board and breakbeam eyes the ion can keep up 100% speed wise, and dont say its not fair to compare an upped ion to a stock DM/EGO cause your comparing a 150$ gun to a 800/1000$ gun
egos are for wannabe posers. If you cant reach 15BPS in semi on any electro your given, you dont belong in this sport. And yes i can get an ion to do 30bps too, with 155$ in upgrades, so like 305$ spent total, thats less than half what the ego costs.

first of all, i didnt spend 1000's on an ego, i traded it for one of my NXT shockers, it was nicley upped, virtue, nox bolt, hybrid bolt guide, etc. i understand what your saying, ther alot of of people out ther that think if they drop 1,250 on an 08 ego, everyone will think they are pro and all, ive been playing 5 years and im not afirad to admit that every once in a while i get shot out by a kid with an ion, its not then gun that makes the difference, its the player behind the gun that does.
as far as the LUXE goes, i wouldnt touch the first generation, so far it looks pretty plastic fantastic, the second generation LUXE is already being drafted out, i would give it some time before i even think abotu touching that gun, as far as the vice goes, i have to say i am very impressed, im already arranging a trade for my ego for a vice,that gun can shoot a case and still have air left over for a couple of pods, its light, it quiet, what more can a person ask for, not to mention da sic look
i must say, though you didnt technically buy your ego, you are the first ego owner ive met, actually big enough to admit that. Id still take the luxe over the ego any day, simply to stick to my rule to never buy an ego (i have shot one, and seen its internals). Im happy with my 150$ ion with 250 some $ in upgrades, gets the job done, tourney leagal, will do 30BPS, and i got to hand choose every upgrade from companies like DYE, CP, and APE, so i know my gun has only the best in it.
i never really buy any of my guns, , only gun i bought was a shocker, i find it more conveiniant to trade guns, its better then spending all the money to buy a new one, i also bought an ion a couple years back, i still have it, its in a box in about a million peices XD, took it apart a while back and never got around to putting it back together, i will soon though, i orderd lots of new parts from my shop when i was bored and had nuthing better to spend money on, basically goin to put 270 in it
well 2 main things you want if your upping the ion, 1. L7 Tech-T bolt, 7.4 grams, its the lightest bolt on earth, and its super air efficient, and 2 DYE Hyper 3 Reg, with those 2 ups youll get insane air efficiency, and if you get a new board go with the ape board, ill PM you the demo vid. does 30bps, and its membrane pad is better then any other, ill also put their website, they have a comparison sheet comparing all other ion boards (including tadao) to the APE ion board.
watch the comparison video, techPB did a comparison of the ego 08, and the vice, he compares everything, the vice has a better stock bolt, is more air efficient, etc, in facet its better then the ego08, according to mike the only reason the ego costs 500$ more is because it comes in a wider variety of colors, which is fine if you wanna spend 500+$ for your guns paint job.

You have that already. Give your attention to the newbs, and be something for them to take as example and people will automatically follow you. Add suggestions not preference is what will make the difference.

sec 4 - sec 17 he shoots the entire hoper. Presuming that are 200 balls in there that mens 15 bps. Way to low fire rate compared to and Etek ego 5 marker (the above 5 are much more faster up to 30+ if the hoper can feed that much).

What about SpeedBall xBall? You do not need to be fast? On prebank? Run&Shoot. Draw lines of paint? Cross fire? C`mon man.
Also here in Europe we are limited by the regulations on 15BPS. The most important thing in here is how much you can keep a marker in ramp, and the electronics and the trigger sensibility are very important issues. A Ion can not provide this. Take a look at the PB competitions an you will see what i am talking about.

And not everyone has a choice, some people dont feel like blowing 1000+$ on a paintball gun, the vice is better then the ego 08, and its 500$ cheaper, id take a vice over the o8 ego any day. The fact that you blew that much money on a gun says a couple of things to me, 1 you dont trust in your own abilities, and want the gun to do the work for you 2 you spent the money so now you think your gun is just so much better then mine.

first of all, i didnt spend 1000's on an ego, i traded it for one of my NXT shockers, it was nicley upped, virtue, nox bolt, hybrid bolt guide, etc. i understand what your saying, ther alot of of people out ther that think if they drop 1,250 on an 08 ego, everyone will think they are pro and all, ive been playing 5 years and im not afirad to admit that every once in a while i get shot out by a kid with an ion, its not then gun that makes the difference, its the player behind the gun that does.

as far as the LUXE goes, i wouldnt touch the first generation, so far it looks pretty plastic fantastic, the second generation LUXE is already being drafted out, i would give it some time before i even think abotu touching that gun, as far as the vice goes, i have to say i am very impressed, im already arranging a trade for my ego for a vice,that gun can shoot a case and still have air left over for a couple of pods, its light, it quiet, what more can a person ask for, not to mention da sic look

i must say, though you didnt technically buy your ego, you are the first ego owner ive met, actually big enough to admit that. Id still take the luxe over the ego any day, simply to stick to my rule to never buy an ego (i have shot one, and seen its internals). Im happy with my 150$ ion with 250 some $ in upgrades, gets the job done, tourney leagal, will do 30BPS, and i got to hand choose every upgrade from companies like DYE, CP, and APE, so i know my gun has only the best in it.

i never really buy any of my guns, , only gun i bought was a shocker, i find it more conveiniant to trade guns, its better then spending all the money to buy a new one, i also bought an ion a couple years back, i still have it, its in a box in about a million peices XD, took it apart a while back and never got around to putting it back together, i will soon though, i orderd lots of new parts from my shop when i was bored and had nuthing better to spend money on, basically goin to put 270 in it

well 2 main things you want if your upping the ion, 1. L7 Tech-T bolt, 7.4 grams, its the lightest bolt on earth, and its super air efficient, and 2 DYE Hyper 3 Reg, with those 2 ups youll get insane air efficiency, and if you get a new board go with the ape board, ill PM you the demo vid. does 30bps, and its membrane pad is better then any other, ill also put their website, they have a comparison sheet comparing all other ion boards (including tadao) to the APE ion board.

watch the comparison video, techPB did a comparison of the ego 08, and the vice, he compares everything, the vice has a better stock bolt, is more air efficient, etc, in facet its better then the ego08, according to mike the only reason the ego costs 500$ more is because it comes in a wider variety of colors, which is fine if you wanna spend 500+$ for your guns paint job.
