Also, YES they are bringing in tons of cash for youtube, and guess where most of that cash goes to? BANDWITH. Without the ads they wouldn't be able to go 1080p - 720p. BACK THEN IT WAS 360p - 480p. Which is why they didn't have to pay much. And of course big corporate giants (google) take advantage of the cash. And dude you really gotta mature somewhat.

The thing that I find annoying about advertising in general is the way that its tentacles creep into place that you thought were safe from them. I live in Australia where until a few years ago, subscription TV was essentially free from the really annoying commercials, the trash that you see on non-pay TV. And now, for the same price (about 120 US dollars a month) you get the same stuff absolutely peppered with loud, incessant commercials.
