There was a second video with the same title, but it was a lot of anti gun propaganda without any real facts or explanations regarding mistakes in classification. This video and the copy I favorited have comments open for us to discuss our thoughts and potentially call the person in the video or anyone else in the comments out on anything. The anti gun had comments disabled so you couldn't discuss it there.

All assault weapons made in the US after 1986 are ban to the civilian market. The penalty for possessing an unregistered assault weapon is 10 year inprisonment and/or a 10,000 dollar fine. as far as I know of, if you don't have a felony and pass the back ground, pay your $200 one time tax, OH yeah the most important being able to afford a full auto, transferable gun, anyone can own/buy. @billymayer1000 Step 1-You must find a dealer with a Class III FFL as they're the only ones who may deal in NFA weapons (machine guns, silencers, etc.) and select a weapon that was registered in the NFA registry before 1986 (this only applies for full-auto, silencers and AOW can be brand new)
Step 2-You must make your application to both the federal gov't and your local chief law enforcement officer, both must approve.

@billymayer1000 You dont have to have the license for it, your dealer does, unless you are trying to buy a suppressor which is a whole nother heap of hoops to jump through. But there are civilian owned full auto AKs and civilian owned M60s, and MG42s.

Well there is some disinformation in this video as well. It's perfectly legal to own a fully-automatic assault rifle as long as you go through the proper channels and get your federal tax stamp. Secondly, he keeps talking about how the guns "look". Well they are all AK platforms so to someone who knows guns they all look they same. Oh no, its got a different stock... that doesn't make it operate differently.
Full autos are NOT banned. Anyone can own a full-auto going through the steps, paperwork, tax stamp, ect. from the ATF. It's not that hard. You have to be cleared/documented for ownership and have a clean record, that's all.
@BrianLuper And make sure the state you live in allows it, some do not. Also, make sure said full auto was manufacturered before 1986 so it's transferrable.

I completely and 100% support the right to bear arms but I think its pretty stupid people are saying that automatic guns will protect them from the government. I love guns, but I don't think Full autos should be allowed. But the entire idea that someone can get their grubby little hands on a over powerful weapon makes me feel... weird. I don't think that anything beyond Assault rifles should be allowed, though, i mean, If I got my hands on a Rocket Launcher... Hehehe...

@ZombieShooter123 Research the North Hollywood Shootout/bank robbery. Two bank robbers had full auto rifles- ARs, Aks, and a G3 if i remember right. Several cops were shot, but not killed. The police shot and killed the robbers. Nobody else was shot. It's not the gun that determines the damage, it's the user. The guys with full autos didn't do much damage, and the cops with semi auto rifles killed them with well aimed fire.

The point is though, If you were to give me an M4 or AK, I would do much more damage, because I know what to do, I've done enough MilSim to get tactics down. So yes, you are right, but these guys, if memory serves right, were on drugs, and if not, just dumb enough to rob a bank.
@ZombieShooter123 They had 3 full auto rifles and switched them out when the AK jammed. The point still stands, what matters is the person using the gun, not the gun itself. Full auto guns didn't do a lot of damage because the users couldn't use them well. But semi auto rifles caused a lot of damage because the users were skilled. Your entire point about not "allowing" civilians to own full autos is that they'll inflict more damage simply because they're full auto. That's not true....

A hunting rifle will do more damage to a human than any AR cold do. as rounds and wepon are made to take down a large game. 700 lbs.. as a AR are made to hurt and give life threating wond to a 200 lbs human. This is telling me to either ban all firearms, which is unconstitutional, or recognize that all firearms can do the same thing, push a projectile down the barrel.
If semi-autos are banned, criminals will either use the black market, or learn to shoot straight. (Both of which I'd rather not have)
The ATF (or BATFE after Obama terror scares) has latched onto sporting and hunting type weapons for legality of use. The 2nd Amendment has nothing to do with sporting or hunting or self-defense. It is only about the citizens' obligation to own ANY type of firearm in order to prevent government tyranny. So beware anyone in DC who says they uphold the 2nd Amendment for self-defense or hunting!! It's not about what they say, it's what they DON'T say!!

But unlike people in other states we have to buy Pre-Ban mags which are hard to find and cost 4 times more than mags made after 1994. Our AR's have to meet strict standards like certain barrel lengths and what not.

I Agree,you cannot ban semi-autos, as they make about 97-98% of all US weapons. The second Amendment protects against that, as the legaslation would become too big, and probably result in a out-right ban

They knew they could not out right ban full autos or suppressors so they stick a $200 tax on each one that you pay to the federal gov't. They are completely legal to own, you just have to ask for permission first and pay for it. Crazy that this has been left unchallenged how it is only ok to have certain things if you pay a tax for. Wouldn't you call that infringement?
umm, fully auto isnt illegal. you just have to get it registered and have to pay a $200 tax per weapon per year. oh and registering such a weapon gives the government and law enforcement to search your house whenever they want without cause, but they rarely do that.
@7Avenged7X The weapon also had to have been lawfully possessed before May of 1986, this results in fully automatic weapons that are transferable being very expensive in addition to the $200 tax stamp and the legal process.
My point was There are more Lethal Every day objects that causes more harm than firearms but yet you don't need all this back ground check and other stuff to buy this other objects

Since 1934 you had to have your assault weapon register and pay a one time tax. Assault weapons have been ban for importation to the civilian market since 1968. All assault weapons made in the US after 1986 are ban to the civilian market. The penalty for possessing an unregistered assault weapon is 10 year inprisonment and/or a 10,000 dollar fine. Honestly I think they need to dumb it down a bit. Simply say rifle A is exactly as powerful and shoots the same bullets as rifle B, for the semi's.

@billymayer1000 Step 1-You must find a dealer with a Class III FFL as they're the only ones who may deal in NFA weapons (machine guns, silencers, etc.) and select a weapon that was registered in the NFA registry before 1986 (this only applies for full-auto, silencers and AOW can be brand new)
Step 2-You must make your application to both the federal gov't and your local chief law enforcement officer, both must approve.
Step 3-Pay the $200 tax stamp
Step 4-Take posession of your weapon.

Full autos are NOT banned. Anyone can own a full-auto going through the steps, paperwork, tax stamp, ect. from the ATF. It's not that hard. You have to be cleared/documented for ownership and have a clean record, that's all.

I mean, it's one thing to have a guy go on a shooting spree with a hunting rifle and a few shotguns, he doesn't often kill everyone he's after, if he is after anyone. But if some drunk/drugged up punk got his hands on an M4 or some similar Assault Rifle, and used it in a mall during peak shopping hours? @ZombieShooter123 Research the North Hollywood Shootout/bank robbery. Two bank robbers had full auto rifles- ARs, Aks, and a G3 if i remember right. Several cops were shot, but not killed. The police shot and killed the robbers. Nobody else was shot. It's not the gun that determines the damage, it's the user. The guys with full autos didn't do much damage, and the cops with semi auto rifles killed them with well aimed fire.

Full auto guns didn't do a lot of damage because the users couldn't use them well. But semi auto rifles caused a lot of damage because the users were skilled. Your entire point about not "allowing" civilians to own full autos is that they'll inflict more damage simply because they're full auto. That's not true....

The ATF (or BATFE after Obama terror scares) has latched onto sporting and hunting type weapons for legality of use. The 2nd Amendment has nothing to do with sporting or hunting or self-defense. But unlike people in other states we have to buy Pre-Ban mags which are hard to find and cost 4 times more than mags made after 1994. Our AR's have to meet strict standards like certain barrel lengths and what not.

They knew they could not out right ban full autos or suppressors so they stick a $200 tax on each one that you pay to the federal gov't. They are completely legal to own, you just have to ask for permission first and pay for it. Crazy that this has been left unchallenged how it is only ok to have certain things if you pay a tax for. Wouldn't you call that infringement?

umm, fully auto isnt illegal. you just have to get it registered and have to pay a $200 tax per weapon per year. oh and registering such a weapon gives the government and law enforcement to search your house whenever they want without cause, but they rarely do that.

@7Avenged7X The weapon also had to have been lawfully possessed before May of 1986, this results in fully automatic weapons that are transferable being very expensive in addition to the $200 tax stamp and the legal process.

For example Bernhard Goetz Used a gun to stop an attacker, but yet because he live's in a state that does not allow people to own firearm's he was charged with four counts of attempted murder, four of assault, four of reckless endangerment, and one of criminal possession of a weapon.

As such they have much lower rates of violent crime than Chicago, SF and LA, Boston All run by "liberal" bully often corrupt mayoral, administrations with heavy handed LE. Now correct me if I'm wrong but the city of Boston,MA is not a hotspot for Republican conservatism or Tea Party activism. I've already been through this with another blogger here. Except for the southeastern US and some upper and lower midwest locations, most democrats in other areas,especially the northeastern US, generally favor tighter firearms regulation, facts are facts people.
